Access to the house is not straightforward, but it is well worth the effort. The entrance from the main street is reached by climbing 40 steps over three floors. Inside, a staircase leads to the kitchen/dining room and the fantastic terrace. From here, you can enjoy views of Montecristo, the island of Pianosa, and Corsica on one side, and the town square of Capoliveri on the other, with the sea and the continent in the distance in the background. The Calamita promontory lies in front of the terrace, the starting point for numerous trekking and mountain biking excursions and the venue for the 2021 Marathon Championship.
