A terrace of 35 sqm extends around the entire cottage, so here you can move the outdoor furniture after the sun from early morning until late at night in the summer. Enjoy the sound of the herring from the stream and the sight of the sunset at 22.30 in the middle of summer. By the fjord you can experience the most beautiful sunset. From here you can go on an island hopping trip along islands and seas, walk on cultural trails in Kvernsteinsparken or along the old Trondheim post road. The majestic, magical mountain Lihesten is an eldorado for hikers and climbers and is a "must". Great views. 17 marked trails in the area. Take the trip to Ytre Sula and walk the 4.6 km long part of the North Sea Trail which is located on Ytrøy in Ytre Sula. You get here by taking a ferry from Rysjedalsvika, 7 km from the holiday home, to Krakhella and drive approx. 37 km out to Ytrøy in Ytre Sula. Great hiking terrain in the area near the cabin and the mountains along the Sognefjord with fantastic views. The owner of the cabin also has a small farm cabin/stable house on the farm on the mountain with the mountain Lihesten in the background, which you can visit (see last photo). This holiday house sits on the waterfront in Hyllestad municipality. Seen from the sea, the house is to the far right. Hyllestad can offer you rich nature experiences with wilderness, coast, valleys and mountains. The sea has excellent fishing conditions, especially during spring and autumn, but also the rest of the year. The cabin is suited for max 4 adults and 2 children up til 12 years old. You can actually sit on the veranda and put the fishing line in the water and wait for a bite. Both terraces are covered and from the ground floor you can enter the terrace from two of the bedrooms. The house is well equipped and all of ground floor has underfloor heating. Two of the bedrooms have 90 cm wide beds that can be combined. The third has a 150 cm wide bed. Go for mountain hikes with magnificent views of the sea. You can also bike along the old postal road that stretches 40 km between Leirvik and Dale, and has some impressive stone bridges. Go on day excursions to the many sights and attractions nearby. You can go island hopping along the coast. Bergen is about 2,5 hours away by car. Holiday home situated on the beachfront in Leirvik by Sognefjorden in Hyllestad municipality. Here, you can fish from the covered terrace and enjoy the view while listening to the seagulls and the waves crashing against the shore. This fisherman's cabin is in the middle of three and has a covered veranda on both floors. The other two are holiday home no. 56572, and the landlord's private cabin. Free internet for surfing, no streaming Underfloor heating on the ground floor. Two of the bedrooms have doors to a covered terrace. Two of the bedrooms have two 90 cm wide folding single beds. One of these two bedrooms has a curtain into the next room which has a 120 cm wide double bed with a 90 cm wide upper bunk. The cabin is best suited for a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children up to 12 years old. Hyllestad is rich in nature experiences, from typical coastal areas to more sheltered valleys and heather moors. The coast and fjord at Hyllestad offer sea fishing. Fishing in the fjord is best in spring and autumn, but there is fish most of the year. There are also many good opportunities for fishing in freshwater and rivers, like in Espelandsvannet or in the river Lona, about 6 km away. In Hyllestad, there has been a large industry of millstone production, with exports dating back to the Viking Age. The majestic mountain Lihesten is an Eldorado for happy hikers and climbers. From the top (710 masl) there are views of the sea and the hinterland, there are also a variety of marked hiking trails in the area. The Trondheim postal route went through the municipality, and there are still impressive stone bridges left along the 40 km long stretch between Leirvik and Dale. A walk along the old post road can be done either on foot or by bicycle. Leirvik is a good starting point for day trips to attractions and activities by the Sognefjord and in Sunnfjord. An island-hopping trip along the coast with the mail boat from Solund is recommended. Bergen is a 2.5-hour drive away. It takes about 8 minutes by car to Hyllestad, and here it is possible to refuel the boat at a gas station with a card machine. Boat for rent in the marina 100 m away: 1x 18 foot boat Øien 530 F with 25 hp Yamaha, chartplotter / gps / echo sounder.
