Welcome to a beautiful red cottage with white knots in a classic Swedish idyll, the cottage is a so-called Dalslandstorp. The house is located in rural charm with the forest next door. Here you can enjoy the peace, starry nights, the tranquility in a beautiful environment. The cottage offers a perfect holiday for a family with children or a group of 6 people. The advantages are many and there are several nice swimming spots near the cottage. You are welcomed into a farm where the cottage is located. You enter a small hall with space for outerwear. Be careful if you are tall as the ceiling height in the doorways is slightly lower than normal. Directly to the left the large kitchen opens up. Here you can find most of what you could need and seating for 6 people. Good with storage areas, dishwasher, fridge and freezer and a microwave. You can light a fire in the small wood stove but be careful. Inside is a living room with a tiled stove. This too can be lit carefully. In here there is a double bed 180 cm wide. Straight ahead is the living room with a comfortable sofa, TV to stream movies for the evening. The bathroom was newly renovated in 2025 with a shower, sink and toilet. Up the stairs you get to the sleeping loft with two bedrooms. One room with two single beds and one room with a double bed. Up here there is more sloping ceilings. Outside the house in the yard there is plenty of space for playing and relaxing in the sun. There is a ball grill and a larger fireplace. In the small house outside in the yard there is a sauna for 6 people. The stairs up in this annex lead you to extra sleeping places. Perfect for those with older children or where the group does not want to live together in the main house. The stairs up are steep so you have to be careful. It is important to show consideration and that all tools and the other houses on the farm are for private use only. If you have a dog, you are welcome to bring your four-legged friend but do not let the dog run loose in the forest and land, as it is an area rich in animals. There are plenty of deer, hares, moose and foxes in the forest behind the house. If you want to find nice tours, there is plenty to do. A visit to charming Nuntorps farm is a must with locally produced, stone oven baked pizzas and locally produced food. Brålanda offers second hand and ICA. Mellerud has nice trails in the forest, plenty of fishing spots and swimming is a must in beautiful Vänern.

Here you will find rest for body and soul and a perfect holiday for families with children or groups of 4-6 people. In this Swedish idyll, you will enjoy being close to several nice bathing spots, along with Lake Vänern, which is Sweden's largest lake. You are welcomed down a small gravel road with the river right behind the house. The plot is partly hilly at the back. At the front there is outdoor furniture with a grill for good dinners. The entrance is under a roof where you like to sit and look out over the rape field outside. You are welcomed into an open floor plan with the living room straight ahead. In the room there is a large inviting sofa and TV with Swedish TV channels and Chromecast. The house also has wireless wifi. The kitchen is on the left with a dining area for 6 people. The kitchen area is open and fully equipped with everything you may need for a pleasant holiday and good dinners. There are two bedrooms in the house. One has a double bed of 180 cm and the other with 2 bunk beds, suitable for children who want a cozy crawl space. There is a bright fully tiled bathroom with sink, wc, shower cubicle and also with washing machine. Good if you have smaller children or want to stay longer. Straight ahead in the bathroom there is also a lovely sauna, for chilly evenings and cozy moments. Straight ahead, a door leads out to the house's small terrace at the back and there you are completely undisturbed for the morning's first cup of coffee in your robe with the river babbling and the trees rustling. If you want to find nice tours, there is a lot to do. A visit to charming Nuntorp farm is a must with locally produced, stone oven baked pizzas and plenty of goodies. Brålanda offers secondhand and ICA. Mellerud has nice trails in the forest, plenty of fishing spots and swimming is a must in beautiful Lake Vänern. The nearest bathing place is only 10 minutes by car from your accommodation. If you want to fish, there are plenty of pacifiers with good bays. Fishing license bought in grocery stores in, for example, Brålanda. If you want to shop, visit Grinstad Lanthandel, a nice selection and charming store. Welcome! You have beautiful Örsjön right next to the house, here you can swim and fish, there is also a wood-fired sauna 1 km from the house. If you want to visit Sweden's southernmost lake Vänern, you can get there quickly by car. In Mellerud, 12 kilometers away you will find shops, restaurants, bank and tourist office. With the beautiful and varied nature, there are many opportunities for a relaxed or an active holiday in the fresh air, why not both? You can also experience art, culture and several museums. In Dalsland there are deep, cold lakes, small ponds and shallower, nutrient-rich lakes. And so Lake Vänern is understood for those who want to fish. Norra Båsane is a popular nature reserve, the bridge in Håverud, built in 1886, it is also a popular destination. A 45-minute drive takes you to the slightly larger cities of Uddevalla or Trollhättan. If you are not afraid of heights, a trip to the 32 meter high cable car Innovatum over the Trollhätte canal is open in July and August. The route is 400 meters long and offers a spectacular view of parts of the city. Tip: The best place to take a look at the breathtaking waterfall in Trollhättan is by the Oscarsbron. At the onset of darkness, there is an extra magical spectacle with the help of lighting.

The property has a separated beautiful pool house (200m2) with an indoor swimming pool (70m2 wide and 1, 5 deep). Here you can relax in the sauna after each refreshing swim in the pool. Right next to the pool there is a lovely relax area including leather sofas and TV-corner with high quality surround system, and during the cool evenings you can gather around the wood burning stove and warm yourselves. If you are hungry or thirsty after the swim there is only to provide yourselves with food in the complete kitchen area. Located in the pool house is also a bedroom equip with a double bed and a private shower and WC, perfect for couples or youngsters who would like some private time. In the main building there is another kitchen with a dining area big enough for 20 people. In the lovely living room (90 m²) you all can gather around and watch your favorite programs on the 63” inch TV. Other activities you can do in the living room are play dart, table tennis, pool or play with the soccer table across the room. From the living room you can experience the view over the little lake and the birches next to the shore. Outside on the patio there is a big grill and workbench where you can sit and enjoy the afternoon and evening sun. There is one bed room on the ground floor and two more on the upper floor. Approximately 30 m away from the house in the annex, there is an additional very pleasant bed room equipped with a double bed. The two houses are heated by geothermal heat and the pool is heated by solar energy, which means that the electricity consumption will remain on an attractive level. The holiday home have a plot of 27600 m², and there is only 50 m to the small lake where you can fish for pike and perch, the beach is reeded therefore there is a bridge for those who want to reach the boat. There is a larger lake with a nice bathing spot with a shallow beach about 5km away named Örsjön. On the ground there is also a barbecue area about 100m away from the house, where you can sit around the cracking fire and enjoy the company. Perhaps someone will bring a guitar and increase the coziness and atmosphere even more. Firewood can be purchased from the owner (500 SEK/m3) You will arrive to the holiday home trough scenic roads where traffic is almost nonexistent.
