In the southern parts of Småland, in lovely rural surroundings but with lake Åsnen only about 500 meters away, you have the opportunity to experience all the best of Småland. Åsnen is a unique lake archipelago with more than a thousand islands and is Sweden's newest national park. This beautiful house is from the 1890s but was renovated as recently as 2013, but they have chosen to keep the feeling in the renovation and interior design. Here you have the red wooden house that brings to mind Astrid Lindgren's fairy tales. It is a large spacious house, with a large living room, spacious kitchen, new fresh bathroom and a bright, nice bedroom on the ground floor. Up the stairs, which is steep in its slope, you will find 2 more bedrooms, a large spacious one with a double bed, and a slightly smaller one with two single beds. The large family can easily fit here, and the lovely garden invites you to cozy meals just outside the house under the shade of the trees or on the balcony that is adjacent to the barn diagonally opposite. Boat and canoe, if rented, are at the house on a trailer and are taken down to the lake when in use. If you want to go on an adventure, for example, all the places to visit in the Kingdom of Glass are about 1 hour away by car, about 45 km away is Växjö with shopping, restaurants and cafes. The previously mentioned Åsnen national park has a lot to experience a little more in the immediate area. And 50km south you reach Karlshamn and the sea if you fancy a day at the beach.

In this small, cozy cottage, you have an excellent starting point for exploring the area, but if you want to stay at home, you have everything you need. The cottage consists of a cozy living room with a fireplace, a dining room with a lovely view of the garden and a small but modern kitchen. In the dining room there is the third bed which functions as a day bed/sofa at other times. There is a bedroom with a double bed. In the cabin there is also a travel cot, so you could get 3 people plus a small child who can sleep in the travel cot. There is also a new and fresh bathroom. Washing machine is in the basement under the house, there is also the freezer (freezer compartment is in the fridge in the kitchen) The hot tub may only be used if there is no burning or watering ban. You have a lovely lush garden which is fenced, which can be a big advantage if you are traveling with pets. In the garden there is also the newly built sauna, where you can bathe and look out over the forest. There will also be an outdoor shower and hot tub/outdoor bathtub for 2 people. Outside the garden, the plot is bordered on one side by a country road where there is some traffic. If you would rather swim in the lake, you have both lake Åsnen and Hyllen within a radius of about 3 kilometers. There are lots of nice walking paths in the area to walk on, or cozy little roads to cycle on and discover the surrounding area. There are three bikes included in the rental. The rent also includes final cleaning. Tingsryd is about 9 km away and here is Tingsryd Resort, which has a lot of activities for the whole family. Such as a cozy swimming area, indoor adventure pool, spa, horse riding, fishing school, boat rental, mini golf. Växjö is about 40 km away and here you will find more restaurants, cafes and shopping.
