Bohus-Malmön is an island in Bohuslän with a genuine archipelago idyll that has a varied environment with interesting history and beautiful views. The island is particularly known for its stonemasonry, but also for its hiking trails and beautiful bathing spots. There is a wonderful tranquility and charming atmosphere here, close to all the island's various attractions, such as Stallebrottet, an old quarry on Malmön. A new purpose has been created for the quarry after finding the perfect location for a natural theater. During the summer, several performances are organized. From the cottage parking area, a staircase leads to the cottage's patio area and entrance. Once inside, you are greeted by a cozy and comfortable open floor plan. On the lower floor, there is a well-equipped open kitchen with dining furniture, stove, separate oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, and dishwasher, a living room with a cozy fireplace and a comfortable sofa group, two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds, and a bathroom with a shower and washing machine. From the kitchen, you can access the large, lovely patio area with several different combinations of summer furniture, a truly beautiful open space for everyone to socialize and, for example, enjoy the delicacies of the sea on lovely summer evenings, such as fresh shrimp, crayfish, or a well-filled crab. From the hall, a staircase leads up to the second floor with a living room with TV, two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a single bed, and a toilet. From the TV room, you can access the cottage's balcony with summer furniture, where you have an unobstructed view of nature and the surrounding buildings. On Sotenäset and in the surrounding area, there are several fishing and stonemason communities with additional bathing spots, as well as coastal paths and roads with views of the Bohuslän archipelago. Kungshamn and neighboring Smögen also offer the opportunity to rent kayaks or boats so you can explore the beautiful archipelago on your own. If you want to take a look below the surface of the sea, there are diving opportunities both from land and boat. From Kungshamn, you can take a taxi boat and visit the Hållö lighthouse or go to Smögen and continue to experience archipelago life and the archipelago environment on the now world-famous pier with its bustling crowds, shops, restaurants, and a variety of different boats. A nice choice for a day trip is a visit to Nordens Ark, a zoo where you can meet around 80 of the world's endangered animals. There, in beautiful natural surroundings, you will have the opportunity to meet animals such as wolves and snow leopards, or come face to face with the world's largest cat, the Amur tiger. Väjern is also home to Tumlaren, Sotenäs municipality's swimming and wellness facility with a gym, wellness center, and indoor pool.

Welcome to beautiful Bohus Malmön in Bohuslän. You take the small car ferry, which is free, over to the island, and once there, you can leave your car parked for the entire vacation. Here you will stay comfortably in one of the more recently built brew houses on Bohus Malmön. Close to everything, both restaurants and sea baths, as well as a summer-open grocery store. The house is on two levels with a living room and kitchen in an open floor plan on the lower level, where you also have a bathroom. From the living room, you have access to the house's terrace where the whole family can fit, and if the sun shines too brightly, there is an awning that can be pulled out. Upstairs, you will find three bedrooms, two of which are equipped with double beds, and the third room has a bunk bed with a wider, 120 cm, lower bunk. Pack your picnic basket and go for a walk on the island to find the best bathing cliffs. On Sotenäset and in the surrounding area, there are several fishing and quarrying communities with additional bathing areas, as well as coastal paths and roads with views of the Bohuslän archipelago. On the mainland, you are close to Kungshamn and neighboring Smögen, where you can continue to experience archipelago life and the archipelago environment on the now world-famous pier with bustling crowds, shops, restaurants, and a variety of boats.
