From the southwest corner of Tartinijev trg, free, frequent minibuses shuttle to Piran's bus station and the Fornače car park near the entrance of town. Timetables are posted – in high summer, the shuttles operate roughly every 15 minutes from 5.25am to 1.46am. Rent bikes from the tourist office (€12 for 48 hours), or from Luma Šport, opposite the bus station. Traffic is heavily restricted in town for non-residents – ask your accommodation provider for advice. You may be able to enter the town for 15 to 30 minutes to drop off luggage. The best option is to park at the huge Fornače carpark about 1km south of the centre and walk or take a free shuttle bus into the centre.
