Welcome to a cozy and snug cabin with room for many guests. The cabin is located in a quiet, family-friendly area in scenic Dalsland. You are welcomed directly into the kitchen through the cabin's entrance door, the cabin has an open floor plan where the kitchen and living room are one, there is a kitchen table with four chairs and a comfortable sofa where you can watch TV, or just cozy up in front of the fire. If you continue into the cabin, there is a small hall that leads to the two bedrooms and the bathroom with shower, wc and washing machine. One bedroom has two single beds and the other has a double bed and TV. Through a door in the hall, you come out to a large, lovely terrace with outdoor furniture where you can socialize and have a good barbecue. There is also a patio at the back. Around the house there are large areas of lawn to run and play on, there is also a swing set. On the farm there is a guest house so perfect if you have older children who want to be on their own. With the forest and wilderness right outside the threshold, this holiday home is far away from the traffic and noise from the city. The property has a separated beautiful pool house (200m2) with an indoor swimming pool (70m2 wide and 1, 5 deep). Here you can relax in the sauna after each refreshing swim in the pool. Right next to the pool there is a lovely relax area including leather sofas and TV-corner with high quality surround system, and during the cool evenings you can gather around the wood burning stove and warm yourselves. If you are hungry or thirsty after the swim there is only to provide yourselves with food in the complete kitchen area. Located in the pool house is also a bedroom equip with a double bed and a private shower and WC, perfect for couples or youngsters who would like some private time. In the main building there is another kitchen with a dining area big enough for 20 people. In the lovely living room (90 m²) you all can gather around and watch your favorite programs on the 63” inch TV. Other activities you can do in the living room are play dart, table tennis, pool or play with the soccer table across the room. From the living room you can experience the view over the little lake and the birches next to the shore. Outside on the patio there is a big grill and workbench where you can sit and enjoy the afternoon and evening sun. There is one bed room on the ground floor and two more on the upper floor. Approximately 30 m away from the house in the annex, there is an additional very pleasant bed room equipped with a double bed. The two houses are heated by geothermal heat and the pool is heated by solar energy, which means that the electricity consumption will remain on an attractive level. The holiday home have a plot of 27600 m², and there is only 50 m to the small lake where you can fish for pike and perch, the beach is reeded therefore there is a bridge for those who want to reach the boat. There is a larger lake with a nice bathing spot with a shallow beach about 5km away named Örsjön. On the ground there is also a barbecue area about 100m away from the house, where you can sit around the cracking fire and enjoy the company. Perhaps someone will bring a guitar and increase the coziness and atmosphere even more. Firewood can be purchased from the owner (500 SEK/m3) You will arrive to the holiday home trough scenic roads where traffic is almost nonexistent. The town is known for its paper mill, Billingsfors mill, which is located at Laxsjön. Dalsland Canal passes the paper mill in the ascent between Laxsjön and Bengtsbrohöljen. This ascent has three locks. The rapid stretch between Bengtsbrohöljen and Laxsjön is called Höljerudsforsarna and is a nature reserve. Here you can stay throughout the year and every season has its charms. You are welcomed by a small veranda that leads directly into a hall, to the left of the hall there is a large spacious country kitchen with dining area for 6 people there is everything you could need. To the right of the kitchen there are two bedrooms in one there is a double bed and wardrobes, in the other bedroom there is a single bed that the bedroom leads on to the living room where there is no door, door to the kitchen is located. To the right from the hall you have a bathroom with shower and toilet, a large lovely living room with a sofa bed and TV, a small office, door leading out to the back of the house there is a large terrace with outdoor furniture where you can socialize and barbecue well. Around the whole house there is lawn to run around and play on. In the basement there is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer, there is also a high chair and cot to borrow. Enjoy the morning coffee on the patio at the entrance of the house, greeted by bird chirping and views of Bengtsbrohöljen. Sometimes the garden is visited by deer and if you are lucky you can see moose up close. A berth is available. About 20 meters from the villa goes a small road, not much traffic. Private parking is available. The prepared cycle path between Billingsfors and Bengtsfors is within a few minutes' distance of the villa. Locks 16, 17, 18 in Dalslands Kanal are within walking distance, also stop to board canal boat from Billingsfors. The 18 lock is known as the most photographed along the canal due to a wonderful little red cottage with picturesque garden located next to the lock. Exclusive trout fishing in Hölljerudsforsarna, between Bengtsbrohäljen and Laxsjön there are three rapids. Höljerudsforsarna consists of the upper rapids, an approximately 250 meter long rapids stretch with 6 meters drop height and the lower smaller rapids with about 2 meters drop height. Here you can fish trout and streamers for which the rapids are best known. Laxsjön is a lake with relatively clear and cold water. The lake has a natural trout population and every year trout are caught in weights up to 7 kg. Pike and perch reach high weights in Laxsjön. Largest pike of 15.1 kg and perch of 2.4 kg. Good ice fishing on rough perch. Fish species: perch, pike, roach, bream, tench, whitefish, vendace, cormorant, lake and trout. NB! Catch & Release on all trout regardless of size. For pike, fish between 50 and 80 cm may be picked up. Nearest launching ramp Billingsfors Marina. Fishing licenses can be purchased on the internet. With a short drive you will find Baldersnäs's historic Herrgård there is Café Allé and restaurant Öjentorps kök where you work with local ingredients and producers. Dalslands Aktiviteter is one of Europe's largest facilities when it comes to adventures in the forest and land where there is a cozy café and a reputable restaurant that always uses local produce. Dalslands Moose Ranch explore the moose in their natural environment. Rosellmagasinet is an old warehouse, which is considered Bengtsfors' oldest building. A quiet oasis around the corner from the lake! In beautiful Dalsland you will find this wonderful red cottage with a large and lush garden. The house has a total of 6 beds divided in 3 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms each have a double bed and the third bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom is fully tiled, bright and newly renovated with WC, wash basin and shower. In the kitchen you will find everything you need for a wonderful stay. Stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer and much more. The living room is spacious and is perfect for rainy days to watch movies or play one of your board games. The glazed conservatory can also be used on rainy days and late evenings. Bicycles are available to borrow at the house. The garden is green, lush and invites both play/ball sports and lovely coffee moments in both the sun and the shade. Not far from the cottage there is a lake and also a ferry camp. In the vicinity there is everything from a campsite with a bathing area and a kiosk, to a golf course, attractions, several flea markets and incredibly beautiful Dalsland scenery. This holiday cottage is located in the countryside, a few km south of Fengersfors in the beautiful landscape of Dalsland. The plot is situated on a height, here you can be by yourselves in peace and quiet with a nice view over forests and meadows. The fantastic nature in the surroundings has been featured in Astrid Lindgren's famous film "Ronja Rövardotter". You enter the cottage via the patio to a large hall, and further on from the hallway through the bedroom into the living room and kitchen. There is a dining area, a cozy fireplace and a sofa with a TV. The cottage has two patios with ceilings, perfect to enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee. A south-facing patio and one in the north, which you reach from the living room. In one of the bedrooms there is a bunk bed (a family bed) where the bottom bed is 120 cm wide and in the other bedroom there is a single bed. In the living room, there is a double sofa bed. From the hall you also enter the bathroom with wc and shower. Enjoy the silence and serenity here, with a cup of morning coffee or a delicious dinner during the lovely summer evenings on one of the patios. If any day would be chilly, you have the opportunity to make a fire and listen to the cozy crunch from the fireplace while you feel the heat spread in the cottage. During your stay here you can rent the owner's rowing boat which is by the lake Ärr, about 3 km away, for lovely baths and fishing trips. You can explore the shores of the lake and with some luck you can get a perch or pike (fishing license is required). A nice bathing spot with a jumping tower in the lake is Knarrbysjön, about 6 km away. Lake Ärr is part of Dalsland's canal and lake system. If you wish visit places out of here, you can visit “Not Quite” in Fengersfors, where they continuously working on transforming the old mill into a varied excursion. Here the visitors can meet arts and crafts in a different raw factory environment, in the garden, in galleries and even in Café and Bistro. You have about 15 minutes’ drive to the small town of Åmål with cafés, restaurants, shops and a rich selection of culture and leisure activities. A weekend in July is the annual Åmål Blues Festival. For golfers, it is only 20 km to Forsbacka Golf Course. Even during the winter period there are things to do in the area, for example opportunity to visit Åmål ski center, only about 15 km away.
