A genuine and pleasant holiday home just north of Varberg. The cottage is tasteful and well planned. The spacious plot is surrounded by a stone fenced yard and shady trees. The cottage is located high up in a smaller cottage area, a short drive takes you down to the beach in Kärradal. Here there is both a sandy beach and a rock pool with a jetty and ladder. At the beach there is a popular restaurant and an ice cream café. At the entrance of the house there is a covered terrace with a dining table and barbecue. The kitchen has all the equipment you could need. In the center of the house there is a living room with sofa, a TV and a dining area. A charming sleeping alcove divided by a partition wall and drapery, accommodates a double bed. A smaller bedroom has a bunk bed with 120cm in the lower bed. The bathroom has a shower. The plot has plenty of space for all your activities and there is several garden furniture. Varberg is a summer town with a lot of people, restaurants, cafés and dance halls, everything that belongs to a summer town. The massive Varberg Fortress guards the entrance to the harbor and can be seen from afar. Go on a tour down into the bastions and casemates, follow along from the 13th century to our own time. Just outside Varberg is Getterön, one of Sweden's most famous bird areas. There are also exhibitions, a shop and a café here. Another nice excursion destination is the Åkulla beech forests and for those of you who are technically interested, it is not far to the world heritage site Grimeton. Also visit the large shopping area GEKÅS in Ullared. For those interested in golf, there are several fine golf courses nearby, the closest is Klosterfjordens Gk.

On Getterön just outside Varberg is this farmhouse. A small annex on the owner's plot surrounded by the unique nature of the peninsula. Here you will find the large bird sanctuary, beaches for both rock baths and sandy beach. From the small harbour, the Getterö boats enter Varberg harbour next to the fortress. A perfect accommodation for a couple who want both nature and cultural experiences. The annex has a room with kitchen and living room. There is a sofa bed for two people, a small dining table and a TV. There is also a smaller sleeping loft that has a low ceiling height and ladder up. There is a mattress for two people. The bathroom is tiled with a shower and a combined washing and drying machine. In the cottage there is broadband and free wifi. The annex has a demarcated and privacy-protected patio with outdoor furniture and barbecue. The nearest beach is within walking distance. It features a restaurant and ice cream kiosk. Naturum on the edge of Getterön Nature Reserve is Varberg's second most visited tourist destination after Varberg Fortress. Over 80,000 people visit the bird sanctuary every year, not to mention all the thousands of birds that think Getterön is a wonderful place. Varberg is a popular destination with the medieval castle Varberg Fortress as an important landmark. Many people appreciate Varberg for its cozy small streets with good shopping. Fun little shops and market shops. Åkulla's beautiful beech forests have 50 km2 of hiking trails, several nature reserves and many lakes. Here the body was found by Bockstensmannen and he is northern Europe's most spectacular medieval find. Grimeton Radiostation, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is about 8 miles from Varberg.
