Just outside Varberg is Getterön, one of Sweden's most famous birding areas. There are also exhibitions, a shop and a café here. Another nice excursion destination is the Åkulla beech forests, and here in winter there is an area for cross-country skiing. For those who are technically interested, it is not far to the world heritage Grimeton. Also visit the large shopping area GEKÅS in Ullared.

Welcome to Onsala and a magical beach plot! This accommodation consists of two simple cottages with an older character, located in a scenic area by the Kungsbackafjorden. The cottages are worn and spartan, giving them a rustic feel. The upper cottage, which is located near the entrance to the owner's residence, has a kitchen table and chairs with a nice view as well as a simpler stove and oven, and a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The second cabin, located about 30 meters closer to the water, offers sleeping places with a bunk bed and an older sofa bed for two people. There is also a wash basin here, but please note that the water is not drinkable in this cabin. Despite the simpler accommodation, the location is absolutely fantastic - wake up to the tranquillity of nature and birdlife, with a heron that can often be seen peering from a rock in the fjord. Perfect for those who want to experience a secluded and close-to-nature stay at the coast. Onsala and Kungsbackafjorden are perfect destinations for those looking for a scenic and relaxing experience by the coast. Here, the beautiful archipelago environment is combined with a rich range of activities. Visitors can enjoy cliff bathing, crab fishing, SUP paddling or sailing in the calm fjord. The area also offers hiking trails, cozy harbors and charming cafes and restaurants, especially in Gottskär (6km). The nice beach is only 50m away. Put on the bathrobe and take both morning and evening dips. The beach is shallow and child-friendly. There are nice cycle paths to Båstad and Laholm. Discover the Bjäre Peninsula with all its picturesque summer villages and not least Båstad, the wonderful tennis metropolis. Visit the lovely harbor area and the cold bath house. Just north of Båstad are Norrviken's gardens, a popular destination. Laholm has a cozy center with small shops, cafes and restaurants. Here Lagan winds around the town and there is fine salmon fishing and a smokehouse with a restaurant. On Hallandsåsen there are also several lovely hiking trails and a ski resort in winter. To the north you can easily reach Halmstad smed with its fantastic beaches in Tylösand, its large range of entertainment and all the golf courses. Bjäre golf club is closest to you.

Here you can find everything for those interested in fishing. Bolmen is rich in different fish species, there is the possibility to rent a boat and to book trolling fishing. There is also a very nice fish restaurant and farm shop here. Do you like peace and quiet? Do you like the company of the whistling of the wind and the rays of the sun through the greenery of the forest? Grass underfoot and a path to walk on? There are several nature reserves in the area, i.a. Årshultsmyren, a nature reserve near Lidhult. There are several golf courses in the area, the closest is Rydö golf club, approx. 16 km away.

From the entrance at the back of the house you enter the hall with three bedrooms and a smaller toilet. Two of the bedrooms have a double bed and one has a 120cm bed. The heart of the house is a large bright living room and open kitchen. The kitchen is modern and has all equipment and a dining table. The living room has a large and comfortable corner sofa, modern TV and a warming wood stove for slightly chilly evenings and a great cozy factor. In the northern part is Hökafältet, a valued nature reserve with several exercise loops and walking paths. To the south, the development turns into Skummeslövstrand's summer center with several restaurants, a shop and a bakery. There is also a heated outdoor pool here. Nearby there is a shopping center and in the area there are a large number of summer activities, e.g. tennis padel and mingolf. Just south of you reach the Bjäre Peninsula with all its picturesque summer villages and not least Båstad, the wonderful tennis metropolis. There are excellent cycling routes to the north and south. At Hallandsås there are both ski slopes and exciting mountain bike tracks in summer. To the north you can easily reach Halmstad with its fantastic beaches in Tylösand, its large range of entertainment and all the golf courses. Why not visit the small town of Laholm with its beautiful location by the Lagan. Lagan has a nice salmon fishery (fishing license required). For those interested in golf, there are many golf courses in the area. The nearest is Laholms Gk. The house is not rented out to youth groups.

Here there is the large bird reserve, bathing beaches for both rock bathing and sandy beach. From the small harbor, the Getterö boats enter Varberg's harbor next to the fortress. A perfect accommodation for the small family or a couple who want both nature and cultural experiences. The annex is tastefully decorated and fully equipped with an open kitchen and living room with a sofa bed for two people and smart TV without channels. The bathroom is fully tiled with a shower and a combined washing machine with drying function. A good staircase leads up to a lovely sleeping loft with a double bed. From here you have a view of the bay. There is free wifi in the cabin. Around the house there is a spacious wooden deck beautifully furnished with comfortable outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Next to the balcony is a trampoline that the children can use. From the cottage, which is the last house on the road, a path leads down to the sea. Here, cows sometimes graze peacefully on the green grass. A short distance from the beach there is a small mooring. Here you can take a morning swim. There are several small bathing coves near the cabin, the closest is cove no.1 next to the marina. Here there is both a sandy beach and a rock pool, an outdoor gym and a restaurant. Nearby there is also a grocery store open during the summer. Naturum on the edge of the Getterön nature reserve is Varberg's second most visited tourist destination after Varberg's fortress. Naturum has exhibitions and a cafe. Here the children learn everything about bird life in a playful way. Varberg is a popular destination with the medieval castle Varbergs Fästning as an important landmark. Many appreciate Varberg for its cozy little streets with good shopping. Fun little shops and market stalls. Åkulla's beautiful beech forests have 50 km2 of hiking trails, several nature reserves and many lakes. About 13 kilometers from Varberg is Grimeton Radio Station, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Here there are tall radio masts that proudly look out over the landscape. For those interested in golf, there are several fine golf courses nearby, the closest is Varbergs Gk.

You reach the sea after a short walk along the path from the house. The swimming beaches in Frillesås offer both cliff bathing and sandy beaches. A staircase on the gable side of the house leads you up to the second floor. The apartment has a large living room with a kitchenette and a dining area with access to a balcony that gives you a panoramic view of the area and the sea and the bay's small islands. One bedroom has two single beds and one has a 120 cm bed. The living room has a sofa bed for two people and TV. There is a nice, bright bathroom with a shower. Free Wi-Fi. At the entrance there is a guest cabin (not equipped for winter) with a bunk bed (family bed). You have your own separate patio next to the guest house. You can also take a walk with a fishing rod to catch a sea trout in the nearby Löftaån during the season, note that fishing licenses and local rules apply in the river. The golfer visits Sjögärde GK's 18-hole golf course, which is about 8 km away. The center of Frillesås is a charming little community with, among other things, a grocery store and some restaurants, you can walk 600 meters to get here. Both to the south and to the north, you can reach other fantastic sandy beaches if you wish. A trip to Kungsbacka is a journey of 25 km, Varberg is 27 km in the other direction and the big city Gothenburg is only 50 km away.
