Are yo looking for a stay in the countryside with nature right outside your door in a 19th-century cottage, yet still be close to Stockholm? Then this cottage is for you. Here, you'll live on a farm where the owners have free-range chickens and also run a summer café, where on some evenings, various events are held that guests are welcome to attend. In a barn, the owners have built a large gathering space/bar in Viking style. The cottage is charming and has a simple kitchen for cooking, with hot and cold water in the kitchen, as well as a dining area that also includes a sofa bed for two people. In the living room/bedroom, there are two separate single beds. In a separate building, there is an electric toilet in a fresh building and a separate outdoor shower with hot and cold water. A private patio with a charcoal grill is available for you as a guest on the farm, charcoal for the grill can be purchased at a gas station or a larger grocery store. If you're traveling with a dog, you're welcome to bring your friend to the cottage; just remember to keep your dog on a leash. From Nykvarn, you can easily take the train into Stockholm if you want to experience the city for a day, and there are parking spaces available at the train station. In the area around Nykvarn, there are large forests where you can hike, pick berries and mushrooms, or simply go out and enjoy the tranquility. If you want to take a dip in one of the nearby lakes, you can do so, it's about a 10-minute drive to a couple of alternative areas where you can find both sandy beaches and swimmings piers. Welcome to this fantastic summer idyll with a lake plot in Nykvarn! Feel the tranquility, enjoy the birds' song gazing over the lake from this beautiful turn-of-the-century house from the early 1900s. Here you have the opportunity to enjoy a holiday you will never forget with access to swimming, fishing, beautiful nature trails and much more! Located on a farm with grazing horses and nice host couple offering an environment made for a holiday with recreation and outdoor recreation. Rurally located close to, among other things, Taxinge Castle, Gripsholm Castle in Mariefred and Stockholm. Don't miss this gem! Via nice country roads you reach this house beautifully placed only 75 meters from lake Yngern, with a secluded location on a large lake plot with jetty, disposed of with the owners who live on the same property with their cats and horses. Large lush trees create privacy between the houses. The house is recently renovated in well-chosen color and material choices to maintain the right character of the house. You live on two levels with high ceilings, generous surfaces and nice tiled stoves on all levels. On the entrance level you are welcomed by a bright hall that connects to the large kitchen and dining area, spacious living room tiled stove and TV and with beautiful views down to the lake. The stairs to the upper floor lead you to a bright and comfortable living room where you can sit down and watch the lake sparkle with the sun's rays. Further upstairs you will find another living room with tiled stove and sofa bed for two people as this room can thus be used as a bedroom. From here you reach a beautiful bedroom with double bed. From this bedroom you reach the third bedroom with a 140-bed for two people. Bathroom with shower and combined washer / dryer is on the entrance floor. Good to know! The railing around the stairs upstairs is very low and thus NOT childproof. To reach two out of three bedrooms, you need to go through the bedroom / living room. Fishing licenses can be borrowed from owners. Rowing boat is rented by owners on site by agreement. It is also possible to pre-order firewood subject to availability. During the period week 14 – week 22 and week 36 – week 39, electricity costs are added, which are paid to the owner on site. Estimated consumption is about 250 kwh and the current electricity tariff. Bed linen can be rented and towels are included. The house is perfectly located close to Sörmland to a number of attractive places to visit. In Nykvarn there is everything you need and then some, some nice tips are Mångfaldens Hus with shop, café & market garden, Turinge Ost & Vin with market hall and Café Klavér - café, theater and yoga. For those of you who love cakes in a beautiful environment, you must visit Taxinge Castle, which has an endless selection of cakes, a farm shop and a beach. Also take the opportunity to take a trip to Mariefred for a visit to Gripsholm Castle but also to central Stockholm (only 30 minutes by train from Nykvarn) if you want even more culture and history, but also a big city pulse.
