In the southern parts of Småland, in lovely rural surroundings, with fantastic nature and lake scenery in the area, you will find this cozy little cottage. Here you have the opportunity to experience all the best of Småland. Lake Åsnen is about 16 km away, Åsnen is a unique lake archipelago with more than a thousand islands and is Sweden's newest national park. The cottage shares the plot with the owners, but feels secluded due to a larger Hedge in between. The patio is also on the away side of the house, so it creates privacy when you spend time on the patio. The cabin is small but well planned with a nice kitchen and bathroom. Two sleeping places are on the first floor in a sofa bed, the remaining three of the beds are in a sleeping loft which is reached via a fold-down ladder. (see picture) Here it is low to the ceiling and you cannot stand up. About 10 minutes away by car you will find Korrö, where there is a lot to do for the whole family. You can hike, cycle, visit the spa, restaurant, café or visit their music festival at the end of July. In the community of Tingsryd, a little over 20 km away, is Tingsryd, with Tingsryd Resort, which offers an adventure pool, spa, mini golf, fishing and much more when the spirit of an excursion strikes. Otherwise, the city of Växjö with its cafes, shopping and restaurants is only a little over 30km away.

Here in Torsebo, you live perfectly for pleasant forest walks with only 700m to the lake. By the lake there is a pier where you can fish and outdoor furniture where you can sit down and enjoy. There are a number of day trips if you wish. You have 50km to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby. In Målilla moose park you can experience the moose up close. At Axelssons in Aby, you can pick strawberries and raspberries when the season permits. The house has two patios. One with a completely secluded location at the back where you have a magical view. Sometimes you can also see cows grazing outside. The front patio overlooks the yard. The interior of the house feels typically Swedish with inspiration from Carl Larsson's paintings and is very pleasant here. You have a large, beautiful living room with a sofa group. In the kitchen there is a dining area and most everything you might need. You sleep in a bedroom on the ground floor with a double bed and in an attic bedroom on the upper floor with two beds. Note that the bathroom is positioned as a passage room to get to the upper floor. The house is therefore perhaps best suited for a family. The owner of the house, who lives in the large house next door, is previously celebrated for his hospitality, his fine manners and his keen sense of space and tranquility. There are nice swimming spots in Virserum, Lillesjö near Mörlunda and Hesjön near Målilla. You are close to Dackestupet, where there are hiking trails, trail running, barbecue hut, viewpoint, swimming area and mountain bike tracks. Also don't miss More Kastell, the eight km long mighty gorge. It is 50 km to Oskarshamn, here there are nice bathing spots by the sea, restaurants and shopping. There are also day trips by boat to Öland. It is also close to the Kingdom of Glass. Virserum (10km) has a grocery store, art gallery, beautiful herb garden, café, playground and here you can go dressage cycling.

Stay in a charming and carefully renovated croft from the end of the 19th century, where rural idyll meets seaside tranquility. Here you live with a large patio and spacious garden, just 600 meters from the beautiful sea environment and beach meadows. The croft is efficiently planned with a nice living room that has a spacious sofa group, armchair, TV and fireplace (fireplace not allowed). On the lower floor there is a bedroom with two beds, and the kitchen is fully equipped with a cozy dining area, even if the dishes are done by hand. From the kitchen, a steep staircase leads up to the loft where there are four beds. The opening to the loft can be closed with a hatch, but keep an eye on children when it is open. In the hallway next to the living room there is a small work area with a door, perfect if you need a moment of privacy for reading or computer work. In the basement there is a pantry. The house has two entrances, the front of which is at ground level with only one low step. As a genuine croft, the house offers charming details and low doorposts, something to watch out for for taller guests. The garden has outdoor furniture and a barbecue, and from here you are close to both the sea and nature. A short walk takes you down to the place that the locals call “Källan”, the old spa town where you can enjoy the open view of Kalmarsund. From here you can follow the Möreleden path along the water to Ekenäs, about two kilometers away, with its picturesque buildings, guest harbor and fine bathing area with sandy beach, jetties, kiosk and artisan bakery (limited opening hours). At Ekenäs there is also a wood-fired sauna for rent, with a bathing jetty and barbecue area next to it. For the family, Vita Sand is a popular excursion, just half a mile away, with a shallow sandy beach, large bathing jetty, playground, trampolines, cable car, mini golf, street food and ice cream parlor. The area offers many walking trails and hiking trails, and in the fall there are plenty of mushrooms in the forests for the connoisseur. Nearby you will find the nature reserves of Värnanäs, Högasand and Ölands Alvar, which are a World Heritage Site. If you want to make day trips, Kalmar, Öland, Kristianopel, Karlskrona, the Kingdom of Glass and Blomlöfs fish smokehouse in Brömsebro are within easy reach. You are also close to several restaurants, including Stufvenäs Gästgiveri and Spa, Villa Famiglia (seasonal) with its Mediterranean-inspired menu and Möre golf course with its associated golf restaurant. There is room for up to six people, but the house is most comfortable for two to four. The bus stop is just a minute's walk away, making it easy to get to Kalmar or other excursion destinations. The nearby road (old E22) is used by both local and some through traffic, but significantly less than when it was a main road. A cozy cottage with history, sea breeze and proximity to both nature and experiences, perfect for those who want to relax and enjoy the Småland coastal life.

On the first floor, you have a bedroom with a double bed 160 cm and a bedroom with a pull-out bed that is 80/160 cm. (this bed is mainly intended for children and has slightly thinner mattresses than the other beds) Here is also the large bathroom, with washing machine /dryer. Upstairs you have a sleeping loft with two single beds (90cm) that can be placed next to each other if desired, as well as a 120 bed. In the small guest cabin, which has its own small patio, there is a sofa bed that is 140 cm wide. The rowing boat is included in the rent and there is also a range of different life jackets to borrow if needed, both children and adult sizes up to 90 kg. There is fiber in the house as well as a smart TV if you feel like watching something other than the fantastic view. With this wonderful location, it may happen that you have everything you need for your holiday right here. But should you fancy an excursion, Jönköping is a little over 40 km away, Isaberg Mountain Resort and High Chaparral 80 km away, and Astrid Lindgren's host about 100 km away. There is also a lot to do in the immediate area, experience nature on foot or by bike, there are cozy restaurants and cafes here. And also take the opportunity to visit Boda borg in Sävsjö, only a little over 20 km away.

There are four fixed beds and an extra bed that is provided for parties of 5 people. In case of rain or cooler weather, or if you simply want some shade, you can sit in the beautiful gazebo. The plot is shared with a family member of the owners, but here there has been a change of place. The owners recommend the swimming area at little Bjälkerum, where you have a beautiful view of the sunset. A visit to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby is usually popular with children. You can also visit Astrid Lindgren's childhood home Näs, Emil's Katthult and Bullerbyn. In Mariannelund is the film village where filming environments from classic films by Astrid Lindgren can be experienced. In the moose park in Skullaryd, you can go on a tractor safari, experience and feed moose and deer in their natural environment. Eksjö with Sweden's best preserved wooden town is well worth a visit.

This beautiful house is from the 1890s but was renovated as recently as 2013, but they have chosen to keep the feeling in the renovation and interior design. Here you have the red wooden house that brings to mind Astrid Lindgren's fairy tales. It is a large spacious house, with a large living room, spacious kitchen, new fresh bathroom and a bright, nice bedroom on the ground floor. Up the stairs, which is steep in its slope, you will find 2 more bedrooms, a large spacious one with a double bed, and a slightly smaller one with two single beds. The large family can easily fit here, and the lovely garden invites you to cozy meals just outside the house under the shade of the trees or on the balcony that is adjacent to the barn diagonally opposite. Boat and canoe, if rented, are at the house on a trailer and are taken down to the lake when in use. If you want to go on an adventure, for example, all the places to visit in the Kingdom of Glass are about 1 hour away by car, about 45 km away is Växjö with shopping, restaurants and cafes. The previously mentioned Åsnen national park has a lot to experience a little more in the immediate area. And 50km south you reach Karlshamn and the sea if you fancy a day at the beach.

Troll boat trips with swimming are offered in Lake Bunn with magical nature from John Bauer's fairy tales and much more. Just over 5 km away is BattleCamp, which has a lot of different activities and a restaurant where you can conveniently pick up takeaway and enjoy on your patio, for example. The accommodation is a bright and fresh caravan, recently renovated by the owner. It has a spacious kitchen with everything you need, such as a stove, microwave, dishwasher, etc. The kitchen is adjacent to the dining area and leads into the living room which has a lovely view of the landscape. The living room also has a 90 bed that can be used as a sleeping area if desired. There are two small bedrooms, with a 120 bed in one and a 90 bed in the other. You share the plot with the owner but you have your own part which is screened off.

There are also cycling routes that take you past historical sites and rolling landscapes in the Småland highlands. There are lovely trails for hiking and trail running as well. At the top of Dackestupet's viewpoint, you can truly enjoy the beautiful view of the lake and Virserum. Pack your swimsuits and finish with a refreshing swim. In winter, you can enjoy both downhill and cross-country skiing. There is also ski rental and café Toppstugan. You can barbecue in the grill cabin Dackegrottan. Grocery stores, pizzerias, and restaurants are available in Virserum's center. There is also a museum, art gallery, and herb garden. Not far from Virserum, you have Astrid Lindgren's World, Målilla Moose Park, Sweden Zipline, Kleva Mine, and rail biking on the narrow gauge track. Emån River is known for its excellent fishing, and Virserum Lake also offers good fishing opportunities.
