There is another cottage on the plot which is used by the owner on occasion. By bicycle, or by bus from a nearby bus stop, you can reach the center of Falkenberg. There are many nice little cafes, restaurants and shops here. The fine, large sandy beach at Skrea quickly fills up with bathers in the summer. Just south of the beach there is a lovely walking area and a nature reserve that offers rock bathing. For those interested in golf, there are several golf courses within easy reach. The closest is Falkenbergs Gk. Through Falkenberg flows the Ätran, which has great nature experiences and walking paths. Ätran has a nice salmon fishery (fishing license required). Feel free to pay a visit to the small town of Slöinge, which has both a well-known bakery and café, an ice cream factory with service and a brewery with outdoor seating. To the north you quickly reach the fine summer town of Varberg and to the south Halmstad. By car you can also quickly reach Europe's largest shopping center GEKÅS in Ullared.
