The house probably has most of what you could need for your stay, there is a separate biochemical toilet in the bathroom, but still bright and fresh. The kitchen is rural with plenty of dining and social space. There is a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The living room has a sofa group with a TV corner. In the bedroom there is a double bed of 180 cm and a bunk bed. You enter the back of the house and you come straight into a smaller hall and the kitchen to the left. If you open the door on the front, you will see the garden surrounded by a stone fenced yard where the cows graze on the other side. The owner of the house lives in the white house behind Ert where there is also a stable. Pets are welcome as long as they don't run loose because of the farm animals and the road outside. The road is a minor gravel road that leads you out to the E20. The cottage is located near Mariestad where you can take nice dips in Lake Vänern or in any of the other lakes that are around. For those who like nature, you can hike, cycle, pick berries and mushrooms. Bathing areas are available in several places not far from the house. Welcome to relax in the garden and keep an eye out for birds, deer and maybe moose.

Welcome to a real gem with a view over Lake Vänern and close to a cozy beach. You live in this nice red cottage with white knots, southwest of the charming lake town of Mariestad. Down to the lake is only about 250 m from this pleasant accommodation. Here you live well in a rural environment with close proximity to swimming, nature experiences and several golf courses nearby. The cottage is charming and well-planned with its 55 sqm and carefully renovated in 2023 with a new kitchen from HTH. The interior is warm and very homely. Where the new meets the house and its charm. In total, the house offers 4 beds. The large bedroom is directly to the left with a double bed of 160 cm. Inside there are two comfortable armchairs and a small TV corner. The fireplace is not usable, but feel free to light a candle to get extra atmosphere in the evenings. across from the bedroom is the house's second bedroom with a 140 cm bed. The hall has underfloor heating and also a stove that crackles a lot in autumn. Straight ahead, the nice kitchen opens up with everything you could need. Here there is a kitchen sofa, dining table and chairs. Behind the nice wooden door is the house's bathroom, which is bright and fresh. Toilet/washbasin and shower cubicle and also with washing machine. So if you want to stay longer, this is a perfect accommodation or if you are traveling with small children. There is plenty of seating outside and the lawn is large and pleasant to play in. There is also a boule court that you can borrow. The house shares land with the nice house owners who live in the red house next door. Here, next to Lake Vänern, there is the opportunity to sunbathe and swim on several beaches. So there are plenty of places to explore. Feel free to bring bicycles because there is a cycle path "Vänern runt" right next to the house. In the lake town of Mariestad, 7 km, there are beautiful streets with cobblestones and well-preserved 17th-century houses. Göta canal starts in Sjötorp, just north of town. Feel free to rent a bicycle and take a trip along the beautiful canal. The river Tidan flows through the municipality and has its outlet in the center. In the countryside around the city there are several cultural treasures worth a visit and in the center of the city is Gamla Stan, one of the country's best preserved city centres. 5 miles to Skara Sommarland water park with a variety of attractions that are always appreciated by the children. If you want to hike and discover magical nature, you must visit Tiveden National Park. Tiveden offers interesting nature experiences and a strong wilderness feeling in the middle between Vänern and Vättern. Tiveden has South Sweden's wildest forests where you hike in chaotic boulder fields with rock blocks up to 10 meters high that have come with the ice sheet. With a lovely lake view overlooking Vänern and private beach you will stay in a pleasant red holiday home with white trims, located northwest of the charming town of Mariestad. The holiday home was extend and renovated during 2010. You will be greeted by a patio with double doors, later a small hallway which will take you the large living room with a pleasant dining area. The dining area has a lovely space with natural light and is open all the way up to the roof ridge. The living room got a beautiful view over the lake and a warming open fireplace with a comfy sitting group in front of the TV. From the dining area you can access the patio where can enjoy the view and your holiday with an exciting book or a good meal. The holiday home is equipped with a modern kitchen, a spacious fully tiled bathroom with shower, WC, laundry machine, dryer and a whirlpool tub big enough for two. A spiral staircase will take you down to the two bedrooms, where one bedroom has one double bed and a single bed. Here next to Lake Vänerns there are possibilities to go and swim and sunbathe, on several beaches including the private one just 25m away from the holiday home. In the lake town of Mariestad (7km) there are several beautiful streets with cobblestones and well preserved house from the 1600s. Göta Canal, the biggest canal in Sweden starts in Sjötorp located some km north of the town. Where you can rent a bike and take a biking tip next to the beautiful canal. The river Tidan goes through the municipality and ends in the centre of the town. On the country side around the town there are several culture treasures worth a visit, in the centre of the city is Old Town located, one of the best preserved city centers in the whole country. There is 50km to Skaras water park with has a variety of attractions and is always appreciated by the children. For those who likes golf is the golf course of Marestad just a few kilometers away from you holiday home.
