Welcome to a beautiful red cottage with white knots with a sparkling river at the end of the house and its grounds. Wonderful quiet and rural environment with incredibly beautiful surroundings. Here you will find rest for body and soul and a perfect holiday for families with children or groups of 4-6 people. In this Swedish idyll, you will enjoy being close to several nice bathing spots, along with Lake Vänern, which is Sweden's largest lake. You are welcomed down a small gravel road with the river right behind the house. The plot is partly hilly at the back. At the front there is outdoor furniture with a grill for good dinners. The entrance is under a roof where you like to sit and look out over the rape field outside. You are welcomed into an open floor plan with the living room straight ahead. In the room there is a large inviting sofa and TV with Swedish TV channels and Chromecast. The house also has wireless wifi. The kitchen is on the left with a dining area for 6 people. The kitchen area is open and fully equipped with everything you may need for a pleasant holiday and good dinners. There are two bedrooms in the house. One has a double bed of 180 cm and the other with 2 bunk beds, suitable for children who want a cozy crawl space. There is a bright fully tiled bathroom with sink, wc, shower cubicle and also with washing machine. Good if you have smaller children or want to stay longer. Straight ahead in the bathroom there is also a lovely sauna, for chilly evenings and cozy moments. Straight ahead, a door leads out to the house's small terrace at the back and there you are completely undisturbed for the morning's first cup of coffee in your robe with the river babbling and the trees rustling. If you want to find nice tours, there is a lot to do. A visit to charming Nuntorp farm is a must with locally produced, stone oven baked pizzas and plenty of goodies. Brålanda offers secondhand and ICA. Mellerud has nice trails in the forest, plenty of fishing spots and swimming is a must in beautiful Lake Vänern. The nearest bathing place is only 10 minutes by car from your accommodation. If you want to fish, there are plenty of pacifiers with good bays. Fishing license bought in grocery stores in, for example, Brålanda. If you want to shop, visit Grinstad Lanthandel, a nice selection and charming store. Welcome! Here at Sunnanå harbor just outside Mellerud you will find a real holiday idyll. This nice boathouse is only a stone's throw from beautiful Lake Vänern. Here you can enjoy the fantastic view of the marina and the old stone magazine. For those of you who want to experience "a Sweden in miniature", you get to experience part of Dalsland's magnificent nature with rushing forests and sparkling water. Here are nice hiking trails and kayaking opportunities. Sunnanå nature reserve is very close by Sjöboden is located in a scenic area where it is close to swimming and golf, Melleruds Golfbana is only 1km away. In the area there is a playground, several barbecue areas as you are not allowed to grill at the boathouse due to the risk of fire, café and restaurant. Here you probably have Lake Vänern's best trolling fishing, loading ramp is in the area. You are welcomed into the boathouse in a living room as where there is a sofa bed for two people, kitchen table and a kitchenette with fridge / freezer, kitchen table. Bathroom with shower and toilet is on the ground floor. Upstairs there is a bedroom with two single beds, here you have a small window facing the best view. In front of the boathouse there is a cozy porch where you can enjoy your meals or maybe just be and enjoy the evening sun and the nice view. Behind the boathouse there is a small porch where you can meet the day with the morning sun. There is a space at the back of the boathouse where you can lock in belongings such as a canoe or other. It is also at the back of the boathouse you park, there is free parking and the boathouse has a special parking space Sjöboden is winter-sheltered, which makes it possible to live there all year round and perfect for those who want to go out and fish for salmon or take part in other events! When you rent the boathouse, you have access to the service house which has toilets, showers and washing machines. Things to do: Vita Sandars camping is almost a must here, you have a nice shallow sandy beach that is out of the ordinary, at the campsite there is also a restaurant, mini golf, tennis, volleyball, playground etc. Take the walking path through the forest from Sunnanå about 2 kilometers walk, by car it is a few kilometers further. The nearest town about 3km is Mellerud where there is a complete range of shops and restaurants. Dalsland's most popular tourist attraction, the aqueduct in Håverud, you will find 18 km from the boathouse, where there is a unique meeting between land, rail and water. Here you can enjoy the peace with wonderful nature around the corner just outside Mellerud in Dalsland. The holiday home is on two floors and offers plenty of space for up to six people. Enjoy the view on one of the house's balconies or the balcony. In the cozy living room there is a fireplace that warms well during cool evenings. You have beautiful Örsjön right next to the house, here you can swim and fish, there is also a wood-fired sauna 1 km from the house. If you want to visit Sweden's southernmost lake Vänern, you can get there quickly by car. In Mellerud, 12 kilometers away you will find shops, restaurants, bank and tourist office. With the beautiful and varied nature, there are many opportunities for a relaxed or an active holiday in the fresh air, why not both? You can also experience art, culture and several museums. In Dalsland there are deep, cold lakes, small ponds and shallower, nutrient-rich lakes. And so Lake Vänern is understood for those who want to fish. Norra Båsane is a popular nature reserve, the bridge in Håverud, built in 1886, it is also a popular destination. A 45-minute drive takes you to the slightly larger cities of Uddevalla or Trollhättan. Right next to the pool there is a lovely relax area including leather sofas and TV-corner with high quality surround system, and during the cool evenings you can gather around the wood burning stove and warm yourselves. If you are hungry or thirsty after the swim there is only to provide yourselves with food in the complete kitchen area. Located in the pool house is also a bedroom equip with a double bed and a private shower and WC, perfect for couples or youngsters who would like some private time. The holiday home have a plot of 27600 m², and there is only 50 m to the small lake where you can fish for pike and perch, the beach is reeded therefore there is a bridge for those who want to reach the boat. There is a larger lake with a nice bathing spot with a shallow beach about 5km away named Örsjön. On the ground there is also a barbecue area about 100m away from the house, where you can sit around the cracking fire and enjoy the company. Perhaps someone will bring a guitar and increase the coziness and atmosphere even more. The cottage has a large lovely open terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast in peace and quiet, depending on the weather you choose whether you want to sit outside or in the glazed conservatory overlooking Lake Kabbosjön. The cottage has an open floor plan where you are welcomed into a small hall, where there is also the entrance to the bathroom, you continue into a large open kitchen with dining area for 6 people. Inside the kitchen are the two bedrooms. Further from the kitchen there is a large lovely living room and TV. The cottage is cozy and cosily furnished. The plot is well hilly and with sharp edges at the back of the house. Large parking, turntable in front of the house. If you want to take a nature dip, it is about 1 kilometer away from the cottage. Bring bathing shoes. Stones at the bottom of the lake. Here you jump into the lake from a rock. There are two nearby bathing places at about 7 km distance in different directions from the cottage one Strömmersvik which is a Municipal bathing place located by Lake Örsjön there is a large changing room and a ramp down into the water, grass and sandy beach to sit on and a long wooden pier, the the second bathing place where there is also a launching ramp, barbecue area, outdoor toilet you will find below Dalskog's community. An obvious excursion destination is Vita Sandar and Vänern, where there is a large and very shallow beach in a beautiful environment, Vänern also has fishing opportunities or the opportunity to get on by boat inland to Köpmannebro and further up through Dalslands Kanal. Kabbosjön is a beautiful lake about 20 meters deep, here you have the opportunity for a varied sport fishing, perch, pike, tench and trout. Fishing requires a fishing license. You can also fish in Örsjön, fishing licenses are also required here. There are fantastic cycle paths here. It is never far to a marked hiking trail in Dalsland. A well-visited hiking trail can be found in Karolinerleder Karl X11's road, it runs across the northern part of the Kroppefjäll plateau, about 15 kilometers of hiking on paths through fine forests. The trail's western starting point is in Järbo about 27 km from the cottage. Borekulle, Dals-Rostock is an old ancient castle located on a high mountain ridge with a fantastic view located about 6 km from the cottage. In Dals-Rostock you go to Ekholmen and take a shrimp sandwich, or to Kerstin's studio which is a greenhouse and shop, there is an herb garden in Brunnsparken which is open 24 hours a day during the growing season, here you can book guided tours, also for hiking the forest as desired.
