Elk safaris can be experienced in these forests and only 8 kilometers to the grocery store, café and restaurant/pizzeria. Possibility to rent kayaks and canoes is also available here. Take the ferry over to Visingsö and ride the remmalaget (horse drawn carriage) or bring your bikes and discover this fantastic island. Jönköping has a rich selection of museums, restaurants, attractions, and shopping. If you want slightly longer excursions, you have Astrid Lindgren's world, Borås zoo or the western town High Chaparral.
