The Borgo dei Gabbiani is really remote. About 10km up/down hill from the first decent supermarket (PAM). The car â€œrecommendedâ€ in the description is, in our opinion, â€œnecessaryâ€. At least to get your groceries. Especially since (in the preseason?) the nearest pizzeria is only open for 4 days. The description states that the center of Canova is 650m awayâ€¦.. we have not seen Canova (except for the sign). Transport is also essential for reaching the hiking trails. We have not found any from the location. Also not via the hiking app Komoot.Met car, the location is a nice base for walks and visits to local authentic villages and centers. Take into account siesta's from 13:00-16:00 (quite long). Good for beautiful photos. The cottage is, especially in bad weather, not large and we had some difficulty with the available storage spaces for clothes and suitcases. In total there are 2 large wardrobes with 5 doors. 3 of these are locked for private use. WiFi is free but limited! Max 10 GB per week. Because the present television only knows 3 Italian channels (sometimes only 2 working), we can imagine that the 10Gb is used. The shower cabin is not large. (1x1m) To also hang a massage shower in it is, in our opinion, not convenient. You can't turn your back there. The technical condition of the house didn't seem to be designed for receiving tourists either. There were quite a few defects (already on delivery) but also during our stay we kept running into broken things. The cleaning was also not great. If we reported this, it was (usually) repaired quickly. But this did not seem to us to be the purpose of our stay there.

This independent apartment with garden is the ideal solution for those who want to stay in a quiet environment, surrounded by nature and just a few minutes from the sea.

The spa and main services are available free of charge to guests (open on weekends and during the summer season). Massages and aesthetic treatments are available upon reservation and at an additional cost.

A few kilometers away is also the charming village of Magliolo, immersed in the Mediterranean scrub and rich in history, views, and an authentically Ligurian atmosphere. The ideal place for a holiday between sea, nature and relaxation.
The area is famous for mountain biking with multiple dedicated trails, trekking excursions in the woods with dedicated trails, and a nearby sanctuary. Suggestive views, and Liguria's blue sea, are just minutes away the splendid beaches of Finale Ligure, Varigotti, Pietra Ligure, and the enchanting and brand-new port of Loano, where you can rent boats or take boat trips to the cetacean sanctuary, hunting for sightings of the famous fin whales, humpback whales, and dolphins.

Nestled in Mediterranean scrub and typical hilly vegetation, Magliolo is the oldest site in the Maremola Valley. With its area of great naturalistic interest, Magliolo is worth a visit for those seeking evocative and peaceful spaces. The ancient Ligurian village enjoys a privileged panoramic position a short distance from Savona, Finale and Pietra Ligure, and for its history, which can be read in all its monuments and churches, caskets of precious rarity.

The common services will also be activated and managed in compliance with the provisions on COVID 19 respecting the distances, the sanitization, which will be carried out several times a day, and other regulations.
For this reason, access to the swimming pool will be handled with a booking system and with some limitation regarding the No. of Hours per day. Access to the pool will also be limited in the number of people who will be able to use it simultaneously.
Access to the Sauna, Jacuzzi and Wellness center will be accessible if the regulations allow it.

The wellness center and all other services are available for free to guests; the center is open every weekend and during the summer. On reservation and at an additional cost you can book various treatments such as; massages and pedicures.

The area is known as the perfect area for mountain biking with special trails, trekking in the forest with dedicated footpaths, a nearby sanctuary.
Here you have a suggestive view, on the blue sea of Liguria, which we find only a few minutes away with the beautiful beaches of Finale Ligure, Varigotti, Pietra Ligure, and the beautiful and brand new port of Loano, where you can rent boats or take a boat trip hoping to see dolphins!

Immersed in the Mediterranean vegetation of this hilly area we find Magliolo, the oldest place of the Maremola Valley of great naturalistic interest is certainly worth to be visited by those who are looking for space and peace. The old Ligurian village enjoys a privileged panoramic location not far from Savona, Finale and Pietra Ligure, and its history, can be read in all its monuments and churches of precious rarity.
