Cyclists will find their happiness in the flat expanses of the marshland. The surrounding area also offers various excursion destinations. Visit Büsum, just 3 km away, or take a boat trip from Brunsbüttel. The unique seal station in Friedrichskoog is a popular destination. A day trip to Heligoland, Germany's only offshore island, which you can reach from Büsum on one of the excursion steamers, promises pure variety. On Saturdays, stroll through the weekly market in the pretty town of Heide, visit the Eider barrage, which is well worth seeing, and as an absolute must for all guests - a day trip to the wide, beautiful beaches of Sankt-Peter-Ording.
