For our first holiday as a family we enjoyed the peace and beauty of La Chantenay. On the photos the house and the surroundings looked great, but in reality we were really surprised. Because we arrived late we could not do any shopping. The welcome gift was for that reason alone a very welcome gesture for which we were very grateful. The side and rear neighbors are cows with calves and sheep with lambs. For our little boy it was wonderful to see the animals. This is also the view from the pool. In the evening we were playing a game for the house. It is good to see that the homeowners have put so much care and detail into the house. Everything has been thought of from badminton set (with net) to uno and from barbecue to toaster. Because of this, we were able to enjoy a crunchy piece of brioche in the morning. The bedding was even brand new and we could get out of the package. All in all a big 10! When our son is older we like to come back! The immense lawn and the swings will then not remain unused.

definitely recommended! what a domain! all facilities available, lots of storage ideal to relax, for those who like to make a trip is the location mss a little less because you are at a reasonable distance from the larger cities, but we have certainly not missed, the pool and the very large garden (say forest) were more than enough for us !!

The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. The upper floor in particular had a great feel-good effect. The garden with the many trees is fantastic and huge. You have nice seating in many places, both at the beautiful pool and around the house. We will be back definitely.

Peaceful, beautiful and rural garden and surroundings with a fantastic pool! The house is tastefully decorated and nice and cool. The downstairs shower is lovely. Everything is there for a carefree and relaxing holiday as we hoped.

Easy to find and clear instructions. Fully complies with the given description. Beautiful, large and fully enclosed garden with many trees for shade on the hot days (and a hammock!) Spacious swimming pool (with floaties) and plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. Spacious accommodation with 1 open master bedroom (one half of the top floor) and 2 bedrooms with doors. Narrow beds (1.40 m). Spacious kitchen with ample facilities for pots, pans, plates, cutlery and other conveniences. Only I was sorry that there was no salt and pepper. Had brought a lot now, but not now. (I have left my purchased salt and pepper so that should be OK in the meantime). Also with the 2 rolls of toilet paper we did not go out for the week. Fortunately there is a proxi marché in the village with a wide range. You will also find a bakery and a lively restaurant / café in the village. Tip: reserve your place in the restaurant during the weekend if you want to sit on the terrace. House is on a connecting road so sometimes a car comes by also at night (I know, we are spoiled at home in that area Furthermore, I think there was some end-of-season fatigue: some sun loungers were broken, toilet seat downstairs was loose, gate could only be kept closed with a chain. So no big problems. All in all had a very good holiday with fine weather by the way And our dogs enjoyed it too!

The last part was not well marked. Supplement with: From the village, follow the signs "Le bas Rio" (D195). After neighborhood sign "Le bas Rio" (at farm) it is after 300 meters the house on the right (the first house you encounter). The pool was very well maintained. Around the house is very much privacy.

Easy to drive to, near supermarket, bakery and restaurant. Very quiet, green area. Code of the gate and key cabinet were clearly communicated in advance. Wine was welcome in the house. The house has all the amenities, is well maintained, is very attractively furnished, has various seating options inside and out. The site is spacious and fenced with a beautiful view of the landscape. The owner responded immediately and kindly to "complaints". Beds were just a little too firm for us.

We had a great holiday, only the fence around the site needs replacing. The cows were standing next to the pool and had climbed crazy. Only downside is the living room, where there is an annoying air because of the fireplace. Not really healthy. we have not been in this room during our vacation.

What a wonderful place! Great house, a lovely and large garden and the pool was great. The start started was messy the codes of the fence and the key box were not passed on to us and also not where the key box hung. When this was solved after an hour, we only enjoyed this fantastic place. It was even so nice that we hardly visited the area. We will definitely come back again.

Le Chantenay is a hidden gem in the French countryside. The authentic house is clean, well-maintained, and has a lovely large kitchen. Itâ€™s nice to relax in and around the pool. The hot tub that will be added soon provides an extra vacation feel. The dog had the time of his life. On the large (well-fenced) property, he could run, play, and curiously wag his tail at the cows in the adjacent meadow. The house offers a lot of privacy due to its location in the fields just outside Chantenay-Saint-Imbert. The highway is nearby, making it easy to reach one of the nearby towns and/or shopping centers in no time. Communication with the owner is quick and welcoming. Le Chantenay is a great place for a relaxing holiday with all the comforts.

It is a beautiful house with a lovely large garden. The pool is delightful and surrounded by comfortable furniture, making it great for relaxation. The surroundings are green and quiet. We spotted all kinds of birds, but also deer and a little fox! Considering the price range and our experience with similar houses, this house was disappointing in terms of cleanliness, maintenance (e.g., sunken tiles by the pool resulting in a foot injury) and service (the promised bicycles were unusable, and the bath linen turned out to be only 1 towel per person, which meant we had to buy our own towels).

Charming holiday home with a beautiful garden. It is very quietly situated between the fields, ideal for a relaxing holiday. We were looking for a quiet house so that our dog could join us and in that respect the stay is 100% better than expected. Inside the house is everything you need, although some things are outdated. This of course adds to the charm ;-) In terms of cleanliness, they could have been a little more attentive. There were still dust and cobwebs in almost every corner. The floors, kitchen, bathrooms etc were fortunately very neat. But if you pay € 130 for cleaning costs, it should have been spick and span…

To reach the holiday home, follow the road to the left of the church in the village square of Chantenay Saint Imbert. There you follow the sign "le bas rio". You continue to follow the road for 2 km until you pass a farm on the right. The holiday home is 300 meters further along on your right.
