We had a great week in Wéris. The house is very well located: in a quiet area and a great base for walking. The house is certainly not modern, but has a lot of charm and is well equipped and maintained. The large garden is also a huge asset. The owner is very friendly and gave us a warm welcome.

Nice welcome by the owner of this beautiful authentic house. Spacious parking for 3 cars and a large garden at our disposal. Everything we needed was present including a very good wifi. Beautiful surroundings as we are used to in the Ardennes. Durbuy is a beautiful town with plenty of places to eat and drink. Recommended.

We enjoyed a midweek Ardennes in this well-equipped and clean house in Wéris. We were very kindly welcomed in Dutch by Mr. Vandevenne and found everything we needed in the authentic house for a stay with 4 people (2 adults and 2 toddlers). From the house there are various walking options (including to the Dolmen of Wéris) that we could adapt in terms of length to our little walkers on the basis of a map that was available in the house. In Wéris itself there is a grocery store where you can buy bread in the morning. Durbuy is nearby and we also made a trip to the domain of Han-Sur-Lesse (40 min drive).

The welcome from the homeowner was very cordial. Pleasantly surprised by the casual way to welcome both Dutch and French. The cottage fitted perfectly with the historic environment, with the necessary comfort. A beautiful, well-kept garden with everything you need to enjoy it. A beautiful environment, nature with beautiful hiking opportunities and a pleasant village center. Recommended.

The owner received us hospitably and was always friendly and helpful during our stay. The holiday home is cozy, the kitchen is well equipped and the sanitary facilities are taken care of. The facilities are called a bunk bed. This is incorrect. Each of the bedrooms has a double bed. (see pictures). There is, however, a cot. The large garden is enclosed by a hedge. Between the holiday home and the owner's house is a large barn. Together this gives a lot of privacy. You can enjoy a lovely walk directly from home. Also a little further away are beautiful (marked) walks. In Barvaux (7 km) is a good supermarket. Also nice restaurants. Durbuy is very touristy, but nice to take a city walk. There are also plenty of opportunities in the area for excursions.

The host was friendly and could explain everything very well, the house was old but cozy.
Upon arrival we were told that there was a problem due to the heavy rain he had had water in one bedroom. The wall was still damp and no paper on it. Of course he couldn't help it, but he would have liked to have known this in advance. Another mason came to solve it. You could smell the humidity. Your clothes couldn't be left there. The heating could also have been higher on the first day. Was cold inside. The second day it was better if we raised them a little higher. It would have been better if the gentleman had solved the problem completely first and then rented it again. Didn't really go home relaxed. Even went home a day early (partly because of the house and partly due to another problem).

As a starting point we have made several trips our house, including the caves of Hotton, Ardennes Offensive museums, Plopsa Coo, Han caves, and just Weris zelf.Het house is very spacious, the decor is somewhat dated, with antlers, etc., but looks neat. The owner is a stickler for precise, but so are we. Just neat to deal with other people's stuff, and there's nothing to worry about.
