Cycling enthusiasts have access to men's and women's touring bikes, and a special 'Danske Post' transport bike for picnics. The Lauwers area, known as the 'Camargue of the North,' features lakes, creeks, beaches, and forests, offering diverse flora and fauna. Birdwatchers will enjoy the spring and autumn migrations. Nearby ports include Lauwersoog, Dokkumer Nieuwe Zijlen, Oostmahorn, and Zoutkamp, while Dokkum is just 15 km away.
