The house scores points with its location, directly at the beach access Schwarzer Busch and dog beach. The apartment "Paul" is suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids. The furnishings are somewhat sparse and outdated. An update is urgently needed here. For example, the television is not suitable for HD reception, resulting in the inability to receive public broadcasting channels. The kitchen utensils are inconsistent and meagerly available. Coffee mugs, on the other hand, are plentiful, about 15, of which around 10 are different. The seating area is small and uncomfortable, and a cramped Ikea rocking chair does not contribute to the coziness. For a week, it was okay.

Our first booking with this provider and the last booking. Upon arrival, the apartment smelled strongly of damp and mold. So, we had to air it out first. At first glance, everything looked clean and tidy, but only at first glance. Upon closer inspection, there was a lot of dust and lint in the living room, under the couch and in the corner by the floor lamp. The bedroom also smelled very damp. There were cobwebs between the wardrobe and the wall. In the children's room, it was particularly dirty under the beds. Old socks from the previous guests (which we left behind) and dirt. In the bathroom, the toilet seat has also seen better days. The shower curtain urgently needs to be replaced. In the kitchen, all the dishes and the cutlery drawer were dirty. The kitchen has also seen better days. So, right after arrival, we started cleaning again to at least achieve some comfort. Nevertheless, we didn't let the vacation be spoiled. The island of Poel invites you to linger. You feel comfortable and are warmly welcomed everywhere. There are plenty of restaurants, and the food is delicious. The dog beach is within walking distance, about 200 meters away. However, there were also positives. The accommodation is very close to the water, pets are allowed, and the parking lot is right in front of the entrance. Across the street, there is a small kiosk where you can get fresh rolls in the morning starting at 8 a.m. Conclusion: Apartment with potential but has aged significantly.
