Beautiful place and a beautiful house with good facilities. The contact with the owner (NL speaking) is very pleasant. Sanitary is modern and clean. The kitchen has everything needed. There are good beds and enough space to stay with 3-4 families. The room layout is slightly different from what is stated on the Belvilla site: there are a total of 7 bedrooms, 3 with a double bed, 2 with 2 single beds each, 1 with a bunk bed and a single bed and 1 with five sleeping places (double bed, bunk bed and single bed). The "walk-through bedroom" is a walk-through to the sauna room, so this is not a problem. The "steep staircase" was a very normal staircase. The house is clean and there are three communal areas: a sitting room with comfortable sofas, a dining room with plenty of good chairs and a living kitchen with a dining table with space for about 8 people.

This accommodation exceeded our expectations, The infrared sauna was a delightful touch after skiing, and the atmosphere was so inviting, The living area was perfect for our group to hang out, and we appreciated the little details that made the house feel like home, It’s also great to have the ski slopes just steps away, I can’t wait to return!

We were there for a weekend. Really great location and good facilities in the house. Everything seemed very tidy and clean. Communication with the landlord went smoothly and the deposit was transferred back directly. We'd love to come back.

We were with a group of cycling friends. Very suitable holiday home fully fully equipped and suitable for 14 people. The leuken is spacious and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The area was beautiful for mountain biking or hiking.

Accommodation was very clean and perfect for large groups. Plenty of room to eat with z 'n all, and of course to stay. Location for winter sports is great, but especially with small children. Altastenberg is a very small ski area, even compared to Winterberg. But for children it is ideal. Location the house is also good. Opposite the house is a Bierstube, ski rental and Bank. Around the corner (2 min. walk) the ski slopes. Winterberg 3.5 km away is also so with the car.

On arrival we found the key in a box with code, very easily, we could go straight inside. The house is well situated in a small village near the road and the piste.

House is fine, plenty of space and basically meets everything. Sufficient parking space in the driveway, and close to the slopes of Altastenberg.
With this owner, however, I would choose another house, you will receive a manual by email for using the house (e.g. WiFi, entry, separating waste, etc.) which is so extensive and unfriendly that you actually don't feel like it anymore. The owner is also unfriendly by telephone, had contact with this gentleman just before check-in and afterwards had contact about the fact that things were left broken / broken.
If you do go, take a picture of everything, go through the house down to the last detail so as not to get into trouble with the owner afterwards. Do not expect a clean house either, there is a cleaning service, but whether it actually cleans is the question.

We hired a group of friends this super property for a ski break in Winterberg. With the ski Altastenberg within walking distance, this Winterberg close, we have enjoyed the best snowboarding. The property is certainly spacious enough for 14 people, well equipped and clean. We have experienced a super time.

Perfect location for a weekend away with a large group with several families. Ample space in the house and ideally located close to the slopes. Ski school around the corner and with it fun for non-skiers who could walk just up and down from the house to the track to see the little ones skiing in the ski course. Supermarket is not close nearby. You must have a car to Winterberg.

We have on the hillside chapel celebrated a wonderful family Christmas at the cottage. Unfortunately, the weather gods left a bit down, what hat.Besonders but the mood in a well-equipped holiday home done any harm praise highlight the simple contact with the building manager, who with minor problems (failure of wireless and lack of yellow bags) in the short term Remedy hat.Parkplätze created for our extended family were sufficiently available and even a Christmas tree was provided by the landlord *****

Super house party for a ski vacation, small and manageable ski area for smaller children well almost on the doorstep, ski rental. We were 10 people on the ground, everyone had plenty of room, kitchen is well equipped and the owner very nice and helpful.

We have gone a long weekend in Winterberg. Although there was no snow, we were able to enjoy mountain biking and walking us well. The house is ideal for a group of 13 people. The house is cozy, fully equipped and little noisy. In addition, we were able to reach the owner well for questions.

End of March (Easter weekend) we had booked. What was not expected so it was still the case: there was a lot of snow. Great fun so. There was now plenty of skiing. Ski lift the door, what more could you want. A successful weekend. Owner very helpful. Highly recommended so (but no snow guarantee the end of March)

We spent Christmas 2012 at the house and were 10 adults and 3 children. We had a lot of space and enjoyed the holidays. unfortunately the snow was melting but there are a lot of walks starting from Altastenberg and so there are some artificial slopes nearby so we could go skiing anyhow. Altastenberg is very quiet and we drove to Winterberg for shopping / etc retaurant around 10 mins. the house itself has a cozy lounge and kitchen with big dining table.We had almost everything we needed there to make it a very enjoyably holiday.
