The holiday home is located in the most beautiful part of Bergen on a park-like property next to the owner / landlord's villa. The owner's house, designed by a Rietveld in a modern, minimalist style, and the old thatched-roof farmhouse complement each other perfectly. In the small holiday home you feel right at home right from the start. The adjoining, old park with its enchanted watercourses invites you to go for a walk: Here you can let your mind wander. Annually changing exhibitions of large-format photographs by various artists, placed along the paths, offer variety. You can tell - I go into raptures: Yes - we feel very, very comfortable here - and that our dog can let off steam on the owner's property rounds off the stay.

Fantastic owners. The little farm from 1840 is amazing. Beautiful history captured in a beautifully made self-published book. Neatly furnished. Very atmospheric. Extremely centrally located. Peace, beautiful garden, where you can truly enjoy nature. Centrally located, you can walk straight into the woods. Mountains within walking distance. And Bergen aan Zee is 3.6 km by bike. In short, a warm recommendation.

You will find this cute, original farmhouse on a small lane. It is located in a quiet area, between gardens and forests. Be careful when entering, people used to be much smaller, so the doorway is low. But that also has its charms.
The kitchen is well equipped and fully equipped.
The room is slightly lower and is modernly furnished with great taste. Excellent furniture, reasonable dining table but big enough for 2 people. The serving hatch between the room and kitchen is useful.
The bedroom is large enough and the bed is great for sleeping. The house is so quiet, waking up early is almost impossible.
Shower room is sufficient.
The house is well heated during the winter period, and the underfloor heating in the kitchen is also wonderful.
The surroundings are fantastic, you can walk straight to the village along a beautiful avenue.
You can walk from the house, you can walk straight into the woods and dunes, both south towards Egmont and north towards Schoorl.

Cute house perfectly located in a quiet spot near the forest and beach. Good contact with the owners and their children if there was anything. The bed slept well and the underfloor heating in the kitchen with extensive equipment, crockery and cutlery inventory was also very pleasant. The kitchen, toilet and bathroom were all stylish, modernly furnished and decorated and everything worked (only we couldn't get the ventilation for the bath and bedroom to work). It was all a bit on the tight side. In particular, the bathroom with shower was very small and the ceilings in most areas were very low. Sufficient for people up to 185cm, but less suitable for tall people. The interior of the living room was ok, but the sofa was somewhat jaded and quite "basic". And because we had to stay indoors due to the curfew, we ran into the DVD player showing malfunctions (did not load or crashed during playback), but luckily there was the possibility to watch Netflix. All in all, a great base for couples to make day trips in the beautiful, wooded area or to visit the beach. In bad weather probably less pleasant to spend several days.

We just got there for 1 night but is already great, the dog can walk freely everywhere, there are 2 neighboring dogs. And we enjoy the winter sun. Just once to the beach!

Characteristic and cozy cottage in a beautiful location in Bergen. Excellently equipped: kitchen has everything you need and comfortable. A good reading lamp with a comfortable armchair, more landlords should do that! It does not get the full points because the living room is sunken (approx. 20 cm) but still has a low ceiling. This sunken location also makes it difficult to maneuver through the cottage.

Nice, small house, clean and comfortable. Ideal for two people with a dog. The location is fantastic ..., right on the forest. The pretty town of Bergen is within easy walking distance. The beach in Bergen an Zee is really nice. We were there in March and the dogs were free to run everywhere.

We had a nice week in the Romantic Bergen house. The cottage is cozy and there is room enough for two adults and a dog. In the immediate area you will find beautiful forests and you walk through the beautiful dune area to the beach of Bergen by the sea. There are also various hiking and cycling routes. The center of Bergen is within walking distance. With the car you are in different cities like e.g. Haarlem, Hoorn, Purmerend and Alkmaar. We also enjoyed the beautiful flower bulb fields.

Nice little house in the middle of the woods of Bergen, but a tad damp because of this. Bergen, Bergen aan Zee, Schoorl and beach and sea from here easily accessible by bike. Fine eaten in various restaurants in Bergen and Schoorl. Had a nice week.

Bergen is a cozy village with many nice restaurants and it is close to the beach. The cottage is small but fully furnished. We were there in September. Because the house is in the forest it is quite dark and moist inside.

The artist's village of Bergen with its scenic lanes offers a wonderful countryside vacation near the forest. This 1-bedroom holiday home can host a small family of 2 or a couple and features a pond, central heating, and a terrace.
