This house is attractive. Located in a fantastic area and close to La Roche. Within walking distance. Unfortunately there are some technical problems at the house. The heating is regularly off and water is not always warm. That differs per room. The house needs a thorough refurbishment. That did not harm the atmosphere.

The residence is old and had suffered under 1.5 years of vacancy due to corona, but the person in charge certainly did her best to make it as good as possible for us. I am not at all satisfied with the administrative contact that preceded our stay : unclear, no answer or very late answer to the questions, not the feeling of being looked after with the necessary attention, the inability to easily consult with you about questions, not making it clear in advance that VAT is not recoverable because Switzerland is invoiced. I am absolutely not satisfied with all this and it will prevent me from doing business with you in the future. Unfortunate.

We rented the house for a family weekend during the Easter holidays. One day before arrival we received a message to deposit the deposit and to send proof of this. After this we received the necessary information to obtain the key. On arrival we had to search, photograph and forward all meters. The house smelled musty and hadn't been used for a while. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were also clean. The house has been partially refurbished but there is still a lot of work to be done. The owners do try to cheer up everything with decoration. We asked ourselves big questions about the electricity and fire safety of the house. The working of the sockets was also a mystery. One worked, the other didn't, same with the light switches, there was no logic to it. Also the terrace had clearly not been done for a long time. We did not use the veranda and terrace because of the bad weather. The large rooms gave a nice view, but the windows are partly overgrown with ivy. The windows throughout the building are in need of replacement, some are cracked, no longer open or close completely. The kitchen is still a large hotel kitchen and could use a cleaning. This is an old house that used to serve the well-to-do population, but has now passed its time. It has already been partially renovated and the owners are really making an effort to make something of it, but there is still a long way to go. Pluses are the many rooms of the house, the beautiful, cozy bar with living room and the location relative to the center.

Woman who rented the house is very friendly, also speaks excellent English which is very nice (if you can't speak French). House is very spacious. Rooms are in need of maintenance and replacement, but for a weekend it is prima.Keuken is very nice very large, very nice that there were many refrigerators, there was even a walk-in cooling that was great! Enough seating places and tables available.

The group home is large, old and fully equipped, such as a large hotel kitchen (fantastic to organize a nice cooking workshop for your group). The maintenance leaves much to be desired. There are a number of leaks, the radiators on the top floor do not get warm (partly solved with an additional electric heating). It didn't matter much to us as a group, but if your requirements are higher, the overdue maintenance can cause irritation. But then, the house is fantastically located, close to the Ourthe, close to the village, close to the woods. Super!

It was a fantastic stay. Almost every room has it's own bathroom, a garage for in our case our bikes, great kitchen en nearby La Roche. 20 min walk.
Yes, it is an old building (looks like a former hotel) and needs some fresh paint but nevertheless lots of space and ideal for groups.
