Everything was perfect, the owners were very sweet, the house was really quiet and the swimming pool was just so refreshening. We had the best time there!

The first few days it was very hot. 38 degrees. We had just come from another house that had no air conditioning, and that was not very pleasant. More of a trial. Therefore, it was a huge surprise that this house had air conditioning in the living kitchen. That was not mentioned in the description. This living kitchen is actually an extension of the house. It has glass sliding doors all around and also a small terrace. Very cozy but simply furnished. And cool. Furthermore, there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom in the house itself. Everything is very simply furnished and decorated. No luxury. But still cozy. The owners really made an effort. Nice people too. From the living kitchen, you look out over a green valley. The rented part of the house is attached to that of the owners. Next to the house, on the owners' side, there is a large beautiful swimming pool. Despite this arrangement, there is total privacy. Even at the pool. You are not visible anywhere. We didn't see or hear the owners after the first day, even though they were there. Very neat. The house is quite secluded in nature. Small but well-maintained roads. There is a village nearby where everything you need is for sale. You don't need to look for a hypermarket. It was a nice week.

We had a nice holiday at this Belvilla. Pros: - there were vases with fresh flowers (probably from the garden) inside. - expansive view from the kitchen and terrace - complete kitchen utensils - combination oven can also be used as an oven up to 200 degrees - the surroundings are quiet, soothing sounds of nature - nice bakery and two small supermarkets nearby - front and back terrace so you can choose whether you want sun or not - friendly owners. Their presence is not intrusive and they are discreet. Areas for improvement - air conditioning should be on between 5-9 PM at temperatures above 35 degrees outside, it was very hot so we would have preferred longer times. It also took a long time to cool down with the air conditioning. - washing machine requires extra steps, but the owners are going to address it - you cannot sit at the dining table, there is a beam under the tabletop that makes it too low in relation to the chairs, so your legs do not fit under the table (regardless of how tall you are) - keep windows and doors closed during the day to keep insects out. Screens would be nice, especially since there have been comments about the insects before. - bed is way too small for 2 people, we are Dutch but not very tall (175cm) - owners are your direct neighbors and the pool is on their side. - covered terrace is too warm to sit on during the day. Kitchen windows act like a greenhouse, external shading would be a solution. - trash can (ladies bin) in the toilet is missing.

Incredibly friendly welcome with a tour of the house. Beautiful home with fantastic views. The living kitchen is fantastic, you lack nothing. The pool is lovely to relax by and well maintained. The beautiful landscaping around is very well kept.

House is a bit hard to find but once you get there ...... Accommodation is simple but clean and complete. The owners are super friendly and during the stay they leave you completely alone. A lot of flies and wasps, but the owners can't do anything about that.

It has been a fantastic stay so far. The house and all is sooo nice and so are the hosts. The pool is amazing and the view. Can't get over the nice view, especially having an amazing sunset each everning. Fully recommend this place!

This accommodation was perfect for us. Wonderfully quiet and so atmospheric! The pool is great and we spent many hours on the roof terrace. Looking at the setting sun. Our bikes could go in the shed and we could have a nice barbecue. Ideally, you can walk to Villefranche du Pericord in 20 minutes. Heavy because of the hills. This village is also very atmospheric.

Arrival was warm. The accommodation was as we expected, clean and cared for. The area is beautiful. Plenty in nature but still very close to a town so that you can easily go to the bakery in the morning. The pool is really fantastic

Lovely house with a nice pool, quietly located in the Dordogne. The house is well furnished and ideal for relaxing. Keep in mind that it can get a bit warm inside at high temperatures, and that many tourist excursions require a bit of driving. On the other hand, you fully enjoy the peace, space, and the pool. Friendly and clear communication with the landlord.

The cottage and the view were great! The pool is a bit further away than expected, namely on the landlord's side, but wonderful. Lots of insects as many people describe, but you are in the middle of the countryside. However, the mattress was so bad, incomprehensible that no one reported this. Immediately reported the first night to the landlord who immediately sent someone to measure everything. Great! However, it turned out that she only went to the store 3 days later and the mattress arrived 5 days later. After 5 nights of bad sleep, this was too long for us, which is why we ended the holiday early. When we reported this to the landlord, her hospitality immediately changed to someone who was constantly shouting, mainly blaming us because the mattress was supposedly still fine and that she had gotten the mattress especially for us and we were not grateful enough. Understandably, it was not a pleasant situation for her either, but that could have been resolved/communicated differently. We did not know how quickly we had to get in the car to the Netherlands afterwards.

A well cared for spacious house, beautiful garden with well maintained pool. It was also great for our two small children, decorated very kid friendly. The semi-covered terrace we loved, every night to sit for long without being bothered by insects. The cottage is quite remote, but is ideal if you would like to do day trips, quite a lot to see in the neighborhood. Only minus; the little ants on the kitchen counter, but with a product that was so fixed.
