Absolutely lovely house & grounds, I would say the best I have visited. House is suitable for 8, but we used as a family of 3, plus the dog. Owners are very helpful and friendly and on hand for anything you need. Location is great with access to local villages and the Dordogne, although you will need to tear yourself away from the pool. Thank you very much for a great stay.

Very friendly owners, very hospitable. Regularly came to put strawberries and fresh eggs in front of the door. Very attentive to our privacy. The neighbors' dogs regularly came to say hello and play with our dogs. Peace, privacy, house in tip-top shape! (Only the knives in the kitchen are a bit blunt and may be sharpened, but that's a detail). Blessed and neatly maintained swimming pool provides cooling! At very hot temperatures, we missed air conditioning to be able to sleep at night.

Our stay was fantastic !! My family and I really took our rest without the city's exhaust fumes. Full of nature and the beautiful horses in front of the house. The owners were so nice and helped us with whatever we needed. To be repeated.

This is now a holiday place that we dare (and will) recommend to EVERYONE. Everything is there to have a wonderful holiday. From our arrival there was plenty of it. The hospitality of the homeowners already made the best impression. A fresh bouquet of wild flowers and a delicious local product was proof of that. The view is phenomenal, the peace, the silence, The house itself (everything is there) the beautiful pool, ... We have even seen deer several times nearby. What is also nice: The reality and the photos on Belvilla are a correct representation. In short: A TOP holiday with our whole family !!!! 1 word: Superb !!!!

Wow!! We were again lucky to be able to enjoy a very special paradise. A fantastic house with an amazing view. You don't need much here. It is especially enjoy the view, the house, the pool, privacy and hospitality. The baskets of cherries, eggs, lettuce and jam were delicious. The dog that dribbles by, super fun. What a wealth for us to be able to stay in such a place. You can clearly see that the house was built with care but especially love. Our suitcases were large enough to take back all the beautiful memories, unfortunately the house and the house fit view in. We hope to come back here again.

Very friendly people! We were warmly welcomed by Philippe, afterwards his wife also joined us. There was a nice bouquet of ruffers on the table, with a bottle of wine and pâté de foie gras. Guided tour in the cottage that they have built themselves. During our vacation we lost our car key. When the owners knew this they brought us their second car, so we could still move. They love surprises, occasionally there was something delicious for our door to eat coeur, croquettes, jam ... Beautiful, clean bedrooms, large kitchen, good showers, very quiet environment because only your ultrasound is audible. Well maintained pool and domain, ... And a paradise for my 5 month old puppy! In short, I definitely wanted to continue living there. We will definitely return! Merci Philippe et madamme! BISOUS DE LES JEUNES XXX

This house was already known from 2 years ago, a fantastic house, good view, good pool, nice layout, but especially good contact with the landlord and his wife. Were sweet to our dogs and we also got regular fruit / vegetable basket from their own garden, and always nice chat. Another big thank you for Philippe and Laurence! Great people!

Our 2nd stay at the property, and again had a lovely time. We used the property as a base for 3 weeks and had friends and family staying with us and our 2 dogs. We again found the property to be superb, and the hosts being at the end of the road were very helpful, but not at all intrusive. The property is in a great position for visiting the sites in the Dordogne, and having direct access to the woods and numerous paths was great for the dogs.

What a wonderful holiday home! We left with sky-high expectations given the previous reviews ... But all were met! It started with a warm, friendly welcome! The house is fully equipped and the owners do everything to make you feel really welcome. And then the view, the spacious garden, the very well maintained swimming pool, the fresh vegetables that one day spontaneously stood at the front door ... everything to make it a fantastic holiday. And as said before there are things that are less perfect: the Wi-Fi is not as good everywhere, you have to drive 10 minutes to the first bakery by car ... But that does not outweigh the ultimate peace and space. Few houses in this price category can surpass this! We will be back next year!

The holiday home La Ruine was built by the owner himself on the foundations of an old ruin. (photo album is in the living room) Craftsmanship and with modern facilities such as heat pump, hot water solar installation, etc. The house is very secluded (you can't see anyone from the terrace and garden), looks fantastic and a lovely swimming pool. Suitable for 8 people and equipped with all necessities. The owners live nearby on the same access road and are very friendly and personable. (also drop by early morning most days to water the flowers and clean the pool). The only thing you have to take into account is that large shops are a bit further away, so getting a quick message is not an option.
Belvès and Monpazier are both nice towns (historic) and close by (10-15 min).
We were very satisfied and can wholeheartedly recommend this house.

Very hospitable owner, we regularly received fresh fruit and farm-fresh eggs. The house is called the “Ruin”, it once was, but they have turned it into a beautiful house in 10 years. Lovely swimming pool, various sitting areas, in short, a paradise! Beautiful hiking opportunities and beautiful villages in the area.

During the heat wave, air conditioning had come in handy, but a dip in the spacious and well-kept swimming pool was a nice alternative to cool down.

A great nice house in a lovely place tidy clean and the pool is also kept well clean certainly worth repeating! There is not much in dr environment but to relax you are here in a fantastic place. The children were busy with the horses and the dogs running there.
