Wonderfully quiet location. Wild about the cottage. Fine pool.No tourist village. But very friendly Italians. Enough to experience in the area. Homeowner is very helpful.

It is a private house in the middle of the mountains. The swimming pool is also for your own use only. There are 2 or 3 houses next to it that are rented out, but this was not rented during our stay. The pool module is indeed outdated. I had already read this in previous posts. That is why we had brought 2 sunbeds ourselves. All week there is a gardener who maintains the garden and the swimming pool. It is wonderfully quiet and our dog was also very welcome. Really walking with the dog is not very convenient as it is very steep. We found it a pleasant stay

It is a nice house, but back to the basics. The beds are fine and the crockery, pans and the like are good. The furniture is somewhat spartan and cozy. What was a thing for us: the connections are outside: you can't just walk upstairs in the house. On the other hand, this was good for the leg muscles!

Very friendly received with good explanation about what to see and do in the area. The cottage was very secluded and quiet with a beautiful view and yet the center was less than half an hour on foot. The swimming pool water was checked and refilled daily. Order and cleanliness was not perfect but also not disturbing.

Nice house and lots of wildlife nearby if you're a little quiet. Beds are a bit outdated, but the location is fantastic. Very nice manager too.

Not easily accessible. Use the coordinates via eg Google Maps and a car without low spoilers then you will get there. Quiet and lots of privacy. Walking down to the village is a good thing to do (20 minutes), but going up is a long walk. Every evening a visit of groups of wild boar that feast on the fallen plums. Exciting but also very nice. House is not a hotel in terms of luxury, but not disturbing. All windows have mesh so no bugs. Also little to no trouble during the day. Every morning Ricardo comes to clean the swimming pool, water plants etc. You see some people ;-) Dog has had world time. Nice space for romping and walking around. Village has a few restaurants, cafes, 2 larger supermarkets, local grocer, bakers. Typical Italian, few tourists, pleasant "evenings. Food very good value for money. In Bagni di Lucca possibility for rafting, canyoning, river trekking, zipline etc through very beautiful canyons. Walking in Abetone (winter sports resort).

Cottage has beautiful mountain location. Last stretch of the road is unpaved and some deep gullies that were impassable for our car. The location of the cottage was not passed properly through local people eventually found the cottage. Homeowner very friendly man, speak reasonable English. Took plenty of time to go through everything and answer questions. Also, we were given a map of the area in which he aankruisde sights. Environment we found quite nice. Also from the house a beautiful view of the mountains and forests around it. Cottage itself is very simple. Furniture may well use an upgrade. Pool furniture are unfortunately not really OK. Fall apart when you offering it must be just right. Pool was bigger than we thought and entirely for their own use. Give a tip that the gentleman who pool maintenance is not every day the tap gets open a par hour, the pool is so cold after swimming is not doing more. Good intentions, but not arrested as well. Downstairs is the kitchen. Simple but cozy. Outside a wide staircase to second floor with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. In the bedroom a very steep staircase to floor

1. Location was very difficult to reach, very bad road with stones and wells, very steep up ... 2. Uncomfortable old accommodation, no modern comfort, lack of coffee, microwave, TV, radio, wifi, air conditioning ... 3. A lot of insects, resulting in a huge amount of insect bites! Lack of hygiene, the floor was really not clean! Uncomfortable toilets with old-fashioned bidet installed on them ... 6. Little weird layout of the house, downstairs kitchen and seating, above the bedrooms and bathrooms but not accessible without going outside.7. We were happy to pull up the good weather and the pool, which could provide the necessary cooling.

Not picturesque but just old junk, dirty and dangerous. No privacy because at any moment another man walks into your garden while you're lying there half-naked and the dog is guarding the place. No washing machine but one set of towels and sheets for two weeks... the steep stairs to the bedrooms are downright dangerous and there are little bugs in the mattress while I haven't even mentioned the many dead insects in the carpet upstairs in the sleeping areas. No emergency numbers available, no fire extinguisher or smoke detectors, not even a pair of scissors or a kettle. Just one potato peeler and that was sacred!
