This charming stone house welcomes you in a green setting, in the land of the Cathars. 20 km from Carcassonne, in the Aude region, this lovely holiday home is located on the outskirts of the village of St Denis. It is quietly located and ideal for holidays with family or friends. Around the village of St Denis, on the southern slopes of the Montagne Noire, you can enjoy cycling and hiking. Visit the numerous lakes and rivers, the vineyards of the Cabardès, Cathar castles, traditional markets (Revel, Carcassonne) and impressive caves (Limousis, Cabrespine). Canyoning is among the possibilities in the Montagne Noire. Tour the city and castle of Carcassonne, visit an essential oil distillery in Castelnaudary (22 km), take a break at the Étangs de Saïx leisure centre (25 km) and go rafting on the river Aude in Alet-les-Bains (40 km). From the terrace shaded by the pergola, enjoy the views of the Pyrenees to the full. The garden is enclosed and equipped with a barbecue, comfortable garden furniture for 8 people, a private 9 x 4.5 swimming pool (secured by a fence) and a swing for the children.

Arrival was well arranged with the owner. You can go in at your leisure and the next day he came to check if everything was to your liking. Accommodation is nice and spacious inside and around the pool there is plenty of space and sunbeds etc.

A very big house! The pool is great if you come with kids. The area is very quiet, and yet there is a lot to discover around it. The city of Toulouse is just an hour's drive away, Lac de Saint-FerrÃ©ol just 30 minutes... Grocery shopping is also available! The house is not too old but not super modern either! You have to get used to the cracking and squeaking doors. Animals have enough space to work out in the garden, but also enough opportunities to retreat to rest! It doesn't matter whether you prefer the sun or prefer to stay in the shade, both are good and there are enough of them.

The caretaker is very nice and can be easily reached by phone.

We had a nice relaxing week there with our children and two dogs ðŸ‘

One more thing: you should take enough things with you if you don't want to be bitten by mosquitoesðŸ˜Š

The villa was as described. Well appointed and big enough for the party comfortably. The area was good for walking and cycling. Saissac provided all the facilities not provided by the village. The Tuesday pizza truck in Saint Denis was very good.

Nice house, fairly large and ideal for two families in terms of layout. Clean pool, only the water was too cold (September) despite the beautiful weather .. It is secluded but it is very quiet ... maybe too quiet for some, but for us this was great, since we ourselves live on a busy job ... Both owners were super friendly and gave a lot of tips .. it was also nice that we were allowed to move in a few hours earlier than planned .... very nice environment and very good food ... then you need the car ðŸ˜‰ .... was a quiet and happy Holidaysâ€¦

After a warm welcome from the owner, we had a wonderful time in this beautiful holiday home. Everything was neat and clean upon arrival. The house offers a spacious living area, a recently renovated bathroom, and a practical, modern kitchen with new appliances. The pool is lovely and surrounded by a beautiful garden â€“ a perfect place to relax in a quiet, green environment. A small downside: the television is located in the relaxation area on the upper floor, where it is often too warm in the evenings to comfortably watch TV. It would be more practical if the television were located downstairs in the living area. It's also a pity that the nearby grocery store only opened from June 16, which meant we had to drive further for groceries. Nevertheless, all of this does little to detract from the overall experience â€“ this place is definitely a recommendation for those who enjoy peace, comfort, and a beautiful setting.

House in the smallest imaginable hamlet, with 1 shop / bakery & no restaurants worthy of the name. Annoying when we got there around 8.30 pm, after hours in a traffic jam, and you don't really know where to go the first day. Environment: beautiful walks in nature (forests).

Large cozy house with a nice pool and beautiful surroundings. The cleaning could have been done a little more thoroughly; on arrival we found dirty coffee pads, cobwebs, dirty carpets, an old flycatcher .. We also have some suggestions: we missed side tables for outside (including at the pool), a drying rack and a coffee maker, the walls could use some paint and the half of the lamps need to be replaced. Furthermore, had a great stay.
