Mario and family are superb hosts where nothing is a problem very generous with local knowledge.

Beautiful area of Emilio Rogmagna to explore. Good to have a car as so much to see from Parma ham to Parmigiano reggianno to balsamic... Staying at Mario's is a. Very comfortable experience... I would definitely go back x

We chose this agritourismo to be our home base for 9 days from which to visit the area: from Bologna to Milan to the Adriatic Sea. Our host, Mario, was a gem. He met us upon our arrival in Montebabbio, demonstrated the features of the accommodation, and explained his family had been residents of the area for 500 years. He made contact on two more occasions to check on us and our stay. He directed us to two of our best meals within the region, one of which we would not have found without his recommendation. He was more than happy to send us links to local attractions which included a local dairy that makes exellent parmigiano reggiano cheese. As for the accommodations, the two upstairs bedrooms each have their own bathroom. The bedrooms are large, with lots of natural light, the beds comfortable, and there is a large wardrobe with shelves for clothing. There is lots of hot water with decent pressure. The kitchen was well equipped. There is only a loveseat in the downstairs seating area so the kitchen chairs needed to be used for general seating as well as dining. The kitchen chairs are very hard and our only recommendation would be to provide seat cushions for them. There are no laundry facilities. We enjoyed our evenings outside at the large picnic table and benches with cocktails and appetizers, watching the sunset over the glorious countryside. Parking was never an issue, with overflow available 50 feet away. Would we stay here again â€“ absolutely!

A super nice host, clean accommodation and beautiful surroundings. Perhaps as a suggestion, a fan wouldn't be bad in hot weather and air conditioning in the main room. But not a point of criticism, because you know where you are going. Keep it up !!!

Our stay in Montebabbio at Mario's apartment Aia was fantastic. The welcome was warm and the host speaks perfect English. The cottage is basic, everything you need is there, and we even got to experience Italian coffee as there was a percolator available. The beds were comfortable, the shower was nice, and upon request, there were also chairs and a table provided outside. The interaction with our children was pleasant. There is a restaurant around the corner and the food is delicious. The surroundings are beautiful and you can literally go in all directions to the nearby villages and towns. We visited the Ferrari and Lamborghini museum. Our host Mario also gave us good tips on what we could do in the area.

A simple and simple house. However, the house was spotless on arrival. The cottage is owned by Mario. A very cordial Italian who welcomes you with a bottle of his delicious homemade wine. The mountain village is small and quiet. But there is 1 restaurant. We had a delicious meal here for a very reasonable price. Beautiful cities such as Modena and Emilia Romagna at Max 40 min drive. If you go for peace and quiet and don't expect luxury, this is a very good stay!

Very warmly received by owner who gave a tour of the appartement.Accommodation was very neat and clean. This is a beautifully restored farmhouse situated in the heart of the village, with authentic features. Each bedroom has its own shower and toilet. The village itself is located on top of a hill / mountain with beautiful views.Environment invites to mountain biking. We stayed here as a base for visits to the factories and museums of Ferrari, Pagani and Maserati. These are located in Maranello and Modena. You can also find Lamborghini and Ducati there. The journey time to these places is about 20 to 40 minutes by car.

We felt very comfortable at Vecchio Borgo. It is a beautiful house in a small village that even has a very good restaurant. Unfortunately, we could only eat there twice because they had a holiday afterwards. Mario is not to blame for that; he is a very good, friendly, and helpful host. He personally provided us with all sorts of excursion tips, and the communication was very straightforward. Absolutely recommendable.
