We have never had such a clean, comfortable and fully furnished holiday home in the Belgian Ardennes. The house is well maintained and the interior is of high quality. New modern chairs at the dining table (so different from the photo), nice, spacious walk-in shower Mosquito nets for the bedroom windows.Beautiful balcony with good chairs and floating parasol.Beautiful, quiet spot.We were the only residents in the row of 4 houses all week.

Our stay in Allouellete can be described in one word: fantastic! We were met by a very friendly lady who had already warmed up the chalet, prepared a local beer and explained everything in detail. The chalet is fully equipped and is super cozy, especially if you light the fireplace in the evening. The area is very quiet, only a bell tower can be heard in the distance. We will definitely come back here. This place is highly recommended. Equipped with everything and hygiene 10/10

After the friendly welcome by our hostess Evelyne, we really enjoyed this great location. The chalet is not only beautifully situated, it is also cozy and fully equipped. He has not stolen his name "Allouette", both inside and outside you are surrounded by many birds. The area is really suitable for beautiful walks. Truly a relaxing address to return to !!

We have been renting a gite in the Ardennes for ten years and until now we have never had such a fantastic place to stay, it is exactly there Room service in a very good hotel, the beds were made upon arrival, the welcome was just perfect, the cottage equipped with every comfort on the inside, the household goods are total, you can imagine nothing that is not there, the towels for the shower were ready in the bathroom, these for the dishes in the kitchen cupboard, there is no need to season yourself , soaps and the like, that's all there, even coffee, tea bags and the soap for the dishwasher. Furthermore, the house is very nicely furnished and decorated, beautiful curtains, parquet, furniture and paintings made by the owner. each have their own motif, there is the red room and the blue room with the adapted colors for the bedding and wall motifs, the furniture is made in full old wood.The owners must have a special bond with birds, there there are at least one hundred statuettes of birds scattered around the house At the breakfast table you can see outside the great tits feeding their young in a kind of bird hotel, in the trees next to the house there is a multitude of bird fat balls. We were there the second week of March, s "Frozen white in the morning, but inside it was nice and warm thanks to the gas stove. There is only one word for this house: fantastic. Paula and Willy, both in their eighties.

Everything is well worded in the other comments, for us a 10 out of 10. We will definitely return. A warm welcome, candles on and 2 local cold beers with accompanying glass on the table. The accommodation was very clean, not even able to discover a spider web. The area very quiet and rural. For the last part of the route, we received an indication via the landlord's email! Chalet was clean and practical. Cozy and furnished with care. Not spacious, but just right. Nice shower stall seemed new. The balcony terrace is very pleasant. Environment is beautiful with many forests and valleys.

Beautiful house, nice interior: the Alouette came through the house everywhere. Cozy reception: candles burned on the coffee table and a beer was ready. House is very clean. In the near vicinity mainly lands. The house is quiet, about 2 kilometers outside the village of Forrières. There are sufficient opportunities for activities in the region. We recommend the walk in De Feeënvallei near Achouffe.

Reception was very cordial, we came here for the second time! So we already knew the accommodation as very good. There were even some minor improvements such as loose extra blankets on the beds. The shower was renewed, but something broke the next day so that the thermostat could no longer be operated. The same day the owner came by with a new crane that he was able to assemble at lightning speed. We were stunned. His commentary is normal! Environment beautiful flowering fields, nesting birds, even a young hare who did his running exercises next to the house as we could see from the breakfast table. The first night some snow fell, which quickly melted away. All trees in beautiful spring green.

The reception in the pleasantly furnished chalet was the way you like it, warmed up the chalet and a friendly lady who gives you a concise tour. The environment itself has many challenges, walking, cycling, relaxing in nice staminekes and visiting typical villages. We had the luck of the first Christmas atmosphere to pick up in Durbuy.In short, a must to come to rest in a particularly pleasant chalet with fireplace, and still be active during the day. Great in a clean house with a cold beer for us and a bottle of soda for our son. Be aware that the owners only communicate in French. Fully equipped, modern furnishings. Also nice that there are many leaflets and walking maps in the house. In wooded location with fields. Enjoy quietly. In the vicinity of some nice places like Rochefort, but also the Grottoes of Han are only 15 minutes away. A nice trip to the ostrich farm is a 20 minute drive away. A lot of walking.

A week before departure, we received a welcome email from the owner of the cottage, with information and asking if we could message her an hour before arrival. She would then wait for us at the cottage to hand over the key and show us around inside. She had already prepared 4 nice cold beers for us with beautiful glasses. Super cool! We have never had such a clean cottage, and everything was available. The beds were very comfortable, and the sanitary facilities were really super clean and modern. The kitchen was fully equipped, including a dishwasher. Her husband completely renovated the cottage in the past and maintains it excellently. Everything is really beautifully done, a lot of wood! The cottage is part of a row of four identical ones and is the last in the row. It is really very quiet here, and hardly anyone passes by, yet you are not far from the village. You can take lovely walks, and there are many castles, rivers, and caves in the area. In the mornings, you can sit on the porch and enjoy your cup of coffee in the morning sun. We were there with 4 people and returned home wonderfully rested. Thank you, Evelyn and Jacky, for allowing us to stay in your cottage.
