Had a warm welcome with detailed explanations about the house and the area on request. The facilities in the house are good, good beds.The is a beautiful kind of country house with history as an inn for stagecoaches. The garden is large with plenty of shade plekken.Direct out the door, you can enjoy hiking and in the village itself are among others a bakery, grocery, and a nice village restaurantje.De sea is running away and cool off in a nearby river is also delicious. Overall a great relaxing place to constantly fine weather!

Warm welcome, you feel welcome! The hostess was on the phone prior to coming all right very spontaneous and tried in English to allow us to speak. The Vieux Mas Martial was neat clean and lived up to expectations. If possible, fly screens on the windows in the bedroom a welcome addition zijn.De neighborhood is nice and quiet, for activities in the area sights enough.

At first glance a beautiful authentic old house. Unfortunately, the latter is a statement. Everything inside is old too. It does work. The worst, and this is also apparent from the pesticides present and the warning when the key is handed over, is that you cannot sit outside in the enormous garden, and that with wonderful summer temperatures. The mosquitoes attack you in droves. Morning, afternoon and evening. It doesn't matter what time of day. My wife and I, the latter is not normally stung so much, are completely covered with red spots. And judging by the frills to limit the nuisance, this is already a known problem. This is of course not in the specifications.

Thick stone walls ensured the house was still cool on the hottest of days. Trees (pine and bay) in the garden provided lovely dappled and scented shade. The vast garden was perfect for our dog to play in and the 'domaine communale' at the end of the road was just what we needed for longer walks

The old house and the big garden are really beautiful. But the huge rooms are strangely furnished everywhere are dolls and doilies, Pots and Pans Placed, neatly Arranged with broken electric devices like TV, radio, piano from the 60ties, wardrobes and shelves with squeaking - not-closing doors. So the beds Looked 40 years old, but were surprisingly comfortable. The bathrooms are old fashioned but clean and functional. It was not our taste, but everything was clean and acceptable. Only the kitchen and the dishes gave us reason for critics the kitchen is very small. All kitchen appliances were provided (some Looked 30 years old \/ stove, fridge and dishwasher were fine). But there is not enough space to prepare food. The small BBQ set has apparently not been used for a long time and Took us a while to clean it. Dishes, glasses and cutlery are a mixed and insufficient hotchpotch with not matching styles, forms, and materials, eg coffee mugs with smurfs, and old-fashioned plates with golden edges. That made our breakfast and dinner table always to a wild combination, Which We really disliked. We have a very relaxed and beautiful time experience in this house. The old things that are in the house take you back in time. We visited beautiful places like Uzes and Avignon. If you go to the beach will then head to Monpelier and follow direction PALAVAS.Een very cool town with lots to do. A plus for this location the owner is a very friendly lady.

We (5 adults) had in the spacious and stylish house a lovely week in August and have especially the garden with big trees and lots of herbs enjoyed to eat, Meditation, Tai Chi Chuan, or just to hang out. You can reach there easily, the mountains and the lowlands, have peace and quiet can walk from the house to go and is not & quotweg the beaten & quot. The house is stylishly furnished and has an old-fashioned feel-good atmosphere. However, it is extremely noisy. It was vohanden everything you need - except a sheet in the baking oven - and a second cutting board would have been very welcome. Thanks for the welcome adoption, Jeannette!

We have just returned from a 2 week stay in this lovely house. The house is spacious and simply furnished and has lots of character. We particularly loved the large garden with plenty of shade. We were lucky to have great weather and really enjoyed eating our meals outside and then at night looking up at the stars. The area has lots of great things to do and we sought out lots of swimming spots in the nearby rivers, as well as enjoying visiting various nearby towns and villages. The owner and housekeeper were generous and kind ( as well as the neighbour who fixed the gate lock for us ). One thing to note is that if you want bed linen to be provided, this can be arranged at an extra cost.

In mid-September we have with our family (father, mother, 3 children (21-17-17) and lovely week spent at the historic home Vieux Mas Martial. It is a spacious house with two floors on the ground floor a spacious living room and a kitchen with a small cooking area and on the first floor a large bedroom and a number of smaller rooms that blend together. The owner has the history of the house described extensively (also in NLDS) in the course of time the house being extended so that the special classification of especially the upper floor is created. In the large garden there are beautiful old fig trees and there is a terrace where most of the day the sun shines. "At night, you are likely to by wild boars, which looking for chestnuts and truffles from your sleep to be had. Nearby is lots to do, lovely walks, beautiful villages, beautiful places along the rivers (swimming and fishing) and beautiful caves. For those of peace, easy but sufficiently comfortable keeps a recommendation.

A very nice house in a nice quiet area yet near everything, shopping and 10 minutjes drive from Anduze a village with several restaurants and winkels.Er is a book where the history of the house, you read that makes it all very special . Everything is neat and clean verzorgt.Ook for our dog eldorado by the beautiful large enclosed garden.

Friendly caretaker, beautiful large, cool house with enormous private garden. Ideal if you like peace and quiet. Bakery, supermarket, tabac, restaurant and bar / terrace, 5 minutes walk to the "center" of the village. Directly from the house many varied walks. The house is beautiful and the garden is unique, the accessibility of supermarkets and towns Ales and Anduze is very good, so is the environment. The house offers plenty of space and tranquility. We have, with good weather, here in June 2009 spent two wonderful weeks. A lot of space both inside and out. The large fenced garden safely without outside play equipment for children. The house and its location were managed better than expected, which is usually reversed. The house has lots of character, is beautifully situated amid a large garden with many shady spots. The house offers luxurious comfort and not large but everything is there for a nice holiday. This year again, during 4 months, and just for our guests, a painter of the sunny Provence has accepted to proceed to a private and personal exhibition in our mas. The paintings will be available for sale just for you and us. "
A large door equipped with big transparent panels has replaced the old one in the dining room, opening with a view on the garden.
A terrace paved with local stones has been arranged outside (in April), in front of the dining room, for more comfort (Some stones have fossilized ferns).
A bookcase contains local books (about Cevennes), interesting books regarding different French regions with beautiful photos, aeronautic and marine story, as well as books for children. There are also several dictionaries in the house: English, Dutch, German, French...
A booklet explains the origins of the mas and the family "Martial" living there in the past, who has given her name to the house. The medicinal and some other plants growing around the mas are also mentioned.
