This holiday cottage is located in the countryside, a few km south of Fengersfors in the beautiful landscape of Dalsland. The plot is situated on a height, here you can be by yourselves in peace and quiet with a nice view over forests and meadows. The fantastic nature in the surroundings has been featured in Astrid Lindgren's famous film "Ronja Rövardotter". You enter the cottage via the patio to a large hall, and further on from the hallway through the bedroom into the living room and kitchen. There is a dining area, a cozy fireplace and a sofa with a TV. The cottage has two patios with ceilings, perfect to enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee. A south-facing patio and one in the north, which you reach from the living room. In one of the bedrooms there is a bunk bed (a family bed) where the bottom bed is 120 cm wide and in the other bedroom there is a single bed. In the living room, there is a double sofa bed. From the hall you also enter the bathroom with wc and shower. Enjoy the silence and serenity here, with a cup of morning coffee or a delicious dinner during the lovely summer evenings on one of the patios. If any day would be chilly, you have the opportunity to make a fire and listen to the cozy crunch from the fireplace while you feel the heat spread in the cottage. During your stay here you can rent the owner's rowing boat which is by the lake Ärr, about 3 km away, for lovely baths and fishing trips. You can explore the shores of the lake and with some luck you can get a perch or pike (fishing license is required). A nice bathing spot with a jumping tower in the lake is Knarrbysjön, about 6 km away. Lake Ärr is part of Dalsland's canal and lake system. If you wish visit places out of here, you can visit “Not Quite” in Fengersfors, where they continuously working on transforming the old mill into a varied excursion. Here the visitors can meet arts and crafts in a different raw factory environment, in the garden, in galleries and even in Café and Bistro. You have about 15 minutes’ drive to the small town of Åmål with cafés, restaurants, shops and a rich selection of culture and leisure activities. A weekend in July is the annual Åmål Blues Festival. For golfers, it is only 20 km to Forsbacka Golf Course. Even during the winter period there are things to do in the area, for example opportunity to visit Åmål ski center, only about 15 km away. You can easily wrap your dressing gown around, take a short walk across the road and take a dip at the rest area. If you want a larger swimming area, there is one nearby. The garden is large and you have a view of the lake below. The house is red with old style white knots. The interior is nice, mixed style and the kitchen is somewhat worn. In Edsleskog there are beautiful nature reserves; Bräcke Ängar - which is characterized above all by the old farming culture. Take a visit to Klöverud, which is Dalsland's highest mountain, Baljåsen - stretching 301 meters above sea level. When you have parked the car at the Petersburg croft and hike the trail via Björndalsberget up to Baljåsen, a striking view of the landscape awaits you. The found jetty with bathing ladder is welcome to use and can be reached via the homeowners' garden on the right side of their house. Welcome to Germundebyn – a part of beautiful Bengtsfors where the Dalsland Canal flows through the town of Bengtsfors and there are plenty of beautiful hiking trails, magnificent nature with dense forest and with rich wildlife. Outside the cottage, deer graze and if you are lucky, both moose and fox can sneak forward. In the pond below the house lives a small duck family that builds nests in the reeds. The cottage is located in rural idyll and with only 8 min picture ride to the clear lake Edslan which is a nice bathing place with café and restaurant next door. You are welcomed by a comfortable terrace in a sunny position with a patio door. The décor and wallpaper is of mixed older 1970s style with where one bedroom is wallpapered in 2021. The entrance is on the long side and you have a long hall. On the left is the first bedroom with a single bed 120 cm. On the right is a spacious bathroom. Facilities include a washing machine, sink and toilet. The toilet is an older variant of mulltoa. The sauna is out of order. Straight ahead, the large living room opens up. There is a wood-burning stove and two sofas for comfortable evenings. One sofa is a sofa bed 120 cm wide. Here is a dining room table for the evening's dinners. Next door is a wood-burning stove that can crackle well in the evenings and there is the second bedroom with a double bed 160cm. This lovely holiday home is located in the little village of Näs, on the border between Dalsland and Värmland. It is set in scenic surroundings, only 100 metres from lake Västra Silen. The house is set on a dairy farm with 20 cows. It is surrounded by pastures, fields, and woodlands. Chances are you will spot elk, deer, and foxes in the neighbourhood! The house features a light and airy kitchen equipped with a dining table and the basic amenities. Next to the kitchen, there's a spacious living room . The bottom floor also features a bedroom with two single beds, and a bathroom with a WC, a washbasin, a bath tub, and a washing machine. On the upper floor you will find another living room and another bedroom with two beds. There's another two beds in the annex, 10 metres from the main building. The owner appreciates advance notice if you wish to use the annex. Electric motor for the boat is available for rent for a weekly price paid on site to the homeowner. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden and lake Västra Silen is only 100 metres away. A rowing boat is included in the rent. This nice country house is located in Järbo in Högsäter, Dalsland. There is room for 11 guests so it is a perfect house for several families celebrating holidays together. This is a perfect location for a house as the house is centrally located in Dalsland and you can reach all municipalities within a maximum of one hour; Färgelanda, Bengtsfors, Dals-Ed, Mellerud and Åmål. The house was built in 1870 and has a wonderful country style. You are welcomed into the house in a glazed entrance to then enter a hall, the first room on the right is a room with two single beds, you continue into a large lovely living room where there is also a tiled stove to fire in too high a comfort factor, the next room on the ground floor is a small living room and toilet and shower are adjacent, then you enter the large lovely country kitchen. A steep staircase leads you upstairs where the first room on the left has a single bed, in the next room there is a double bed and a single bed, if you continue to follow the hall there is another large bedroom with double bed and a single bed and inside this bedroom a sleeping alcove with a single bed, outside the master bedroom there is another sleeping alcove with a single bed, upstairs there is also a toilet. At the end of the house there is a large lovely terrace where there is room for cozy barbecues with a view of the house's nice pond. At a few miles distance you will find Kroppefjälls nature reserve, where there are several nice hiking trails and you come to a scenic environment. Fishing, swimming, canoeing, cycling, going to flea markets are some tips on what you can do on your holiday. Dalsland is flooded with nature and cultural heritage in all its forms, among other things, it is definitely worth visiting the Aqueduct in Håverud in Dals-Rostock, which is located in the middle of Dalsland in Mellerud municipality. There is an old spa with interesting history. you can visit an artist's studio with a shop and a rural museum. When you are in these areas, it is almost a must for those who like long fine white sandy beaches to visit Vita Sandar. For the adventurous, we recommend Dalsland's Activities, which is one of Europe's largest facilities when it comes to adventures out in the woods and on the ground, there is also both a restaurant and a café that offers local ingredients. In Dals-Ed you will find Dalslands Moose Park which is a moose safari that takes you close to the king of the forest! In forest and land there are plenty of berries and mushrooms.
