The fishing license is valid for most of the nearby lakes. A bit north of Örkelljunga is Kungsbygget's adventure park. At Hallandsåsen you can visit Vallåsen's ski resort in winter. A short drive away are the beaches in Vejbystrand and also the metropolis Båstad. There are several golf courses in the area, the closest being Örkelljunga Golf Club. Örkelljunga also has one of the country's best mini golf courses. A few miles north, at Markaryd, is the elk park, a fantastic excursion destination for the whole family.
