Here, you'll live on a farm where the owners have free-range chickens and also run a summer café, where on some evenings, various events are held that guests are welcome to attend. In a barn, the owners have built a large gathering space/bar in Viking style. The cottage is charming and has a simple kitchen for cooking, with hot and cold water in the kitchen, as well as a dining area that also includes a sofa bed for two people. In the living room/bedroom, there are two separate single beds. In a separate building, there is an electric toilet in a fresh building and a separate outdoor shower with hot and cold water. A private patio with a charcoal grill is available for you as a guest on the farm, charcoal for the grill can be purchased at a gas station or a larger grocery store. If you're traveling with a dog, you're welcome to bring your friend to the cottage; just remember to keep your dog on a leash. From Nykvarn, you can easily take the train into Stockholm if you want to experience the city for a day, and there are parking spaces available at the train station. In the area around Nykvarn, there are large forests where you can hike, pick berries and mushrooms, or simply go out and enjoy the tranquility. If you want to take a dip in one of the nearby lakes, you can do so, it's about a 10-minute drive to a couple of alternative areas where you can find both sandy beaches and swimmings piers. The large and beautiful beach of Gösjön with a jetty and diving tower is 13km away. There is also mini-golf and a kiosk. Please note that the house is located near Highway 34, so please keep an eye on children as there are no fences. In the large garden, there are various outdoor furniture where you can enjoy the beautiful view. The house has a large living room with an open ceiling to the ridge, where you can lean back in the sofa or armchair. There is also a writing desk for those who wish. The kitchen is modern and stylish with a pleasant dining area. You sleep in a bedroom with a single bed that can be pulled out and made up into a double bed. Even Oknö has beautiful sea baths. More Kastell, Smålands Grand Canyon with its 8 km long ravine is worth a visit. At the nature reserve Aboda Klint, there is a restaurant. You have two popular cafes in Berga that are worth visiting, Café Tre Århundraden and Elsabo Herrgårdsscafé. Elk park is in Målilla. You are also close to Glasriket and Vimmerby where you have Astrid Lindgren's World. Smaller grocery stores can be found in Ruda, while larger ones can be found in Högsby or Fliseryd.

In the southern parts of Småland, in lovely rural surroundings but with lake Åsnen only about 500 meters away, you have the opportunity to experience all the best of Småland. Åsnen is a unique lake archipelago with more than a thousand islands and is Sweden's newest national park. This beautiful house is from the 1890s but was renovated as recently as 2013, but they have chosen to keep the feeling in the renovation and interior design. Here you have the red wooden house that brings to mind Astrid Lindgren's fairy tales. It is a large spacious house, with a large living room, spacious kitchen, new fresh bathroom and a bright, nice bedroom on the ground floor. Up the stairs, which is steep in its slope, you will find 2 more bedrooms, a large spacious one with a double bed, and a slightly smaller one with two single beds. The large family can easily fit here, and the lovely garden invites you to cozy meals just outside the house under the shade of the trees or on the balcony that is adjacent to the barn diagonally opposite. Boat and canoe, if rented, are at the house on a trailer and are taken down to the lake when in use. If you want to go on an adventure, for example, all the places to visit in the Kingdom of Glass are about 1 hour away by car, about 45 km away is Växjö with shopping, restaurants and cafes. The previously mentioned Åsnen national park has a lot to experience a little more in the immediate area. And 50km south you reach Karlshamn and the sea if you fancy a day at the beach.

The house has a large terrace with seating areas for cozy evenings and dinners. There is a wood-fired hot tub under a roof, and firewood can be purchased from the owners on-site. Your furry friends are welcome here. You are welcomed to three different buildings. First, the main house, which has a kitchen and a living room with a fireplace and a TV with Swedish channels. There are two bedrooms with three single beds, and in one of the rooms, the beds can be pushed together to make a double bed. Close by is the small house with two bunk beds, perfect for children and teenagers, and in a separate little building is the nice bathroom for both houses with a shower, WC, washing machine, and sink. The hot tub, situated on the terrace, is under a roof in a cozy environment with seating benches and is a very relaxing place. The beach is about 400 meters from the cabin, and there is a footpath or road for those who prefer to drive. It is a child-friendly sandy beach with shallow water. The cabin has a large yard for socializing and playing, and it is located high up on the hill with nature right at your doorstep. During the right season, you can pick mushrooms and berries. Are you curious about what there is to do in Värmland? The region is particularly known for its beautiful nature, but also a rich cultural life with several famous authors and artists. In Värmland, there is always something fun to do or some interesting sight to visit. About 25 kilometers away is Säffle center, close to restaurants, cafes, and events.
