Experience Sommen, a small picturesque cottage on a lake plot in Helgebo with a guest house and its own jetty. (Not a sandy beach, next to the jetty there is a stonier part with shallow water, otherwise bathing from the jetty with a bathing ladder is recommended. You can swim here but the bottom can be a bit dingy. The larger bathing area is just under 1km from the house. There are bathing jetties, a sandy beach and it is shallow. There are also swings for the children. In the area there are fish-rich streams and lakes where a fishing license is required. The accommodation is not for youth groups under 25 or for companies. Hjo is called the wooden town by Lake Vättern. Here you can walk on nice cobbled streets, eat ice cream and check out handicrafts. The nature reserve Hjoåns Dalgång is beautiful with its nature, lush and green path. For those who like to fish, you should go to Hökensås and plenty of berries in the forests. Wake up in the morning and enjoy the view that extends over the lake and the large terrace, 80 m below is your private bathing area with a small beach, jetty and rock bath. Valö Café & Festplats outside Björkfors about 7 kilometers away has a summer restaurant located on an island in a scenic environment adjacent to a party place with a dance floor. A walkway across the water leads to a bathing area with a jetty and jumping tower, if you continue further you will come to the café which is located in a beautiful summer idyll. Guests return a long way for the famous "shrimp sandwich" which is always served freshly made. Pedal boat and rowing boat are available for rent. There is a hiking trail on Korpberget's slopes from Valö´s parking, it is steep but there are ropes to get up with, where you can connect to the hiking trail that goes from Björkfors to Idhult. The areas around Björkfors are beautiful excursion destinations that allow you to enjoy nature whether you come by bike, moped, motorcycle, car or boat. There is something to do for everyone when you plan your excursion destinations both in the nearby area or if you go into the City of Linköping 67 km away. There you can visit the Air Force Museum, Old Linköping in the city district Valla, good shopping in the city and good food. For the cultural, you are welcome to visit the cathedral and the castle at Borggården. One mile northwest of Linköping is the lock area called Bergs slussar Göta kanals largest lock staircase. There is a lovely garden outside for play with garden furniture for a classic Swedish coffee and a terrace facing south. The house is decorated in a very homely style and has an open floor plan. You enter a bright hall with space for shoes and jackets. Directly to the right, the living room and kitchen open up. High ceilings and beautiful light. The kitchen is modern with induction hob and smart planning. There is a coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave and large refrigerator. Freezer box is in the outbuilding opposite the house. In the kitchen area there are large windows with extra wide window frames that invite you to sit and look out over the fences. Maybe you see some moose in the evening? To the left is the one bedroom which has a sliding door with extra wide door frame so you can enter with a wheelchair. Inside, the colors are white and cozy earthed red curtains with a single bed that has an extra bed underneath that can be pulled out. Next door is the second bedroom where the colors are green and a large nice background wall with forest motifs. Here is a double bed overlooking the meadow. The bathroom is light gray with sink, toilet and walk-in shower. Upstairs is the small bedroom with two single beds. Before there is a small space with a small sofa and armchair for comfortable hanging. Up here you can look out over the whole house. For those with functional variation, there are adjustments to be made. Just let the homeowner know when booking and they will arrange a ramp and adaptation as needed. The house shares land with the homeowner who has horses on the farm and they live in the house next door. They also offer simple breakfast to order and this too is booked on site. Here you can enjoy the fantastic view of the marina and the old stone magazine. For those of you who want to experience "a Sweden in miniature", you get to experience part of Dalsland's magnificent nature with rushing forests and sparkling water. Here are nice hiking trails and kayaking opportunities. Sunnanå nature reserve is very close by Sjöboden is located in a scenic area where it is close to swimming and golf, Melleruds Golfbana is only 1km away.
