Good things come to those who wait. We've known Britta (...bakes the best cakes in all of Eiderstedt...) and Robert (...has a knack for business, real estate, and beautiful things...) for a long time, and when we saw they were looking to sell their wonderful house, everything happened pretty quickly. A new, Scandinavian-style home on one level – right in the heart of Tating Village, with a sand dune dotted with beach grass – this combination of Danish charm and modern design makes the property simply HYGGE. Inside – 150 perfectly divided, ground-level square meters, plus two large south-facing terraces for relaxed outdoor living, allowing for maximum relaxation without any fuss. And the new pearl in the necklace from THE ROOMS is a real eye-catcher! If you like modern – HERE YOU GO – this is the way: Black floors with underfloor heating, contrasting with smooth white walls – that's the HOOK-LINE. A luxury kitchen of the finest quality, bathrooms to die for, four double bedrooms, a dining table with Eames chairs where you can also play billiards, plus an XXL sofa massage the senses like the BASS-LINE in your favorite song. Many, many floor-to-ceiling windows let light into the spacious living-dining area, provide views to the terraces, and connect the inside and outside of the house into a wonderful arrangement. Speaking of outside – both terraces are perfectly equipped. One for sun worshippers with a beach chair and beach club seating area. The other one features lounge furniture, a barbecue area, and a glass roof, which is also a great place to sit when the weather gods aren't in a good mood – OR we have one of those tropical nights in the summer (we're supposed to be getting more of them...). The story of Room 27a wouldn't be complete without the sauna area – ideal as an ONTRO after an eventful day – rain or shine. And as INFO for all workaholics who can't really let go, even on vacation. The Eiderstedt peninsula, and therefore also Tating, both have NO good network connections. Fiber optic or other high-speed networks are not as well-developed as you might be used to at home (and neither are we...). Therefore, a Wi-Fi connection has been set up for you via a Vodafone GigaCube from the mobile network, which (mostly) does its job flawlessly for normal household use (web surfing, listening to music, TV video streaming). Unfortunately, it's not suitable for supporting commercial image editing programs and office-quality video conferencing – you don't want that on vacation anyway (if you're honest...). Our goal isn't to achieve the highest possible occupancy rates – we want to offer quality time and help you make the most of your precious free time for relaxation.

THE ROOM 35: We bought Dorfstraße 35 "in a fit of passion" – sometimes an impulse, a ray of sunlight shining through a dirty window into an abandoned house, is enough for an idea to emerge – a thought to become reality. But how do you transform an old, dilapidated "house with a frieze gable" into a cozy "industrial vintage drag queen"? First: We dare to imagine the unthinkable – a completely different room layout, light – lots of light and preserving as much substance as possible – as few new components as necessary. Second: We transform the look and maintain the appearance, we return the old furniture to the house "restored" and add new "old" unique pieces. In addition to the new heating system with stylish radiators, a tiled stove we refurbished brings warmth to the house, as does a sauna, mirrors, fabrics, books, a kitchen, a conservatory, a bathroom with all the bells and whistles, and all the other everyday objects we've gathered from everywhere. They form a bridge between us and the residents. And other things: Room 35 has its own dune and is intentionally different. Love it or leave it.

We've set up our 'hide-out' so that we can arrive and let go at any time - because who wants to spend the first few days of vacation 'getting the place in shape'? For us, this includes a complete set of furnishings. From A - for alcohol - (there's a bar that each guest refills to their liking), to B - for cutlery (knives, forks, spoons, plates - and everything that belongs in a modern household, including toilet paper) to Z - for matches for the fireplace or even a 'fence area...'. Let us know if you think we've forgotten something important...we're open to suggestions. Seriously, we'll spare you the usual lists and brand name dropping - those come a little later in the description anyway - just be patient. Our house is approximately 130 m² in size, features a cozy open-plan living and dining area, four bedrooms, one full bathroom with a bathtub and shower, and a separate toilet in the attic. The approximately 1,500 m² property is landscaped – at the front, with a driveway, a carport, and a lawn with a stone terrace – and at the rear, with a secluded garden (bordered in wickerwork, typical of the region), a wooden terrace, and a sauna extension. Garden lighting, a gas grill, garden furniture, loungers, and everything else you might need to enjoy the whole experience in a relaxed manner – we promise. The house is quietly located on the outskirts of Tating. Sankt Peter-Ording is within 8 km, where you can enjoy all the wonderful things a North Sea spa town has to offer – and, of course, go and drive to the wonderful beach. But you've probably already done some research on the internet. You can find out more about the information we can provide further down in the descriptions - excursion destinations, etc. Please don't forget - to make your holiday really enjoyable (unforgettable in the best sense of the word...), we would like to point out at this point (quite untypical of all the raves you've already read and those still to come) that the North Sea can sometimes have really crappy weather - unfortunately, even in summer. We can't influence this either - and it never really bothered us - when we were here, we wanted to be in exactly this place - flat land, ebb and flow, harsh climate - the North Sea, after all... So - that's it for now - all that remains for us to do is wish you lots of fun. The Seegut is a beautiful thatched-roof cottage just a few steps from the sea and the Stufhusen bathing area. The "Carpentry" apartment has just been renovated and is located on a beautiful natural plot in a thatched-roof house on the outskirts of Tating. The apartment features two separate bedrooms with an en-suite shower room on the upper floor, and an open-plan living area with access to the spacious south-facing terrace with lounge furniture. A pool table is available for use in the apartment (requires a deposit). The interplay of modern interiors paired with the charm of a building over 300 years old gives the apartment a special flair.
