Great little island. It is very alive during daytime and extremely calm during the evening.
Very very cozy to sit on the balcony watching boats and people in general.
Make sure to do your groceries before taking the boat. It is only possible to buy very little at the island.

The island is in fact as beautiful and romantic as in the pictures. The apartment was simple, but clean and equipped with all the essentials of coffee, olive oil, sugar etc. And the balcony is great a beautiful view over the lake!

Staying at Belvilla by OYO Mansion was a delightful experience! The flat was charmingly decorated with a mix of modern amenities and period furniture, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, We particularly loved the stunning views of Lake Maggiore from our balcony, The location was perfect—just a short walk to the village center where we found lovely restaurants and shops, The owner was incredibly friendly and even arranged a motorboat transfer for us, which made our arrival seamless, Overall, a wonderful spot for a relaxing getaway!

Super nice place. A tourist island. After the last ferry it was quiet. The cottage was cozy, authentic and atmospheric. Marco, the owner told us about the history of the house. His grandfather lived there. There are many old photographs in the stairwell. Lago Maggiore is beautiful.

What have we enjoyed. During the day, the boat road to sights and evenings quietly on our balcony with a glass wijn.Mooie trips to the mountain Motarone, lago oversize expres.Wel a very touristy area. Very friendly welcome by the gastvrouw.Heerlijke shower. And take the holiday card for the crossing by boat, for single tickets are expensive. And now you see the whole week to each island and village voyages. Costs 83 euros per person. Car you can park for free at station in Baveno, or along the promenade of Baveno.

Beautiful island with fantastic views from the apartment. It was buzzing during the day peaceful in the evenings. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly there was a book providing suggested days out. It was easy getting about, but slightly restricting as the last boat back was at 7pm. However this didn't curtail our enthusiasm. W would definitely love to return and highly recommend to others.

In this small (but big enough for two people) apartment you can enjoy throughout the day landed in large numbers of tourists. In the evening they left and the island is almost alleen.Vanaf for you explored the island by boat to all destinations. The adjacent Isola Bella is a must. Parking is best in Baveno.

This apartment is in a fantastic spot on the water. So nice to see boating., And all those boats The balcony is a lovely place. Everything is delicious vernacular with doilies, etc. If the last ferry has been you can at your door from the stone pier as indenting the water! Terug.tip We will be parking at bus stop Carciano is gratis.Vanaf the parking lot by driving backwards. Then you do not taking into account how you leave the next day to be with you. Car again

between 10 and 18 is the small island (which you may have seen in an hour) very touristy, after the last ferry you have the island to yourself except for visitors to the restaurants through private water moving but it remains quiet. A monthly subscription baveno between the island and is cheaper than a return ticket every day. Park your car in your best baveno in Stresa is busier and then you still have to wait several stops, the island is the first and last stop by ferry from baveno. All the towns around the lake are easily accessible by car. The apartment is compact but everything is there present, good neat and clean, very friendly and helpful owner, also the inhabitants of the island are very friendly and open. A must for those who want to visit the region but still want to stay. What the fuss "Evening, there are always a few restaurants open in varied price, negotiate well in advance about the price if you take a private water taxi or use the taxi firm that owns recommends (guillermo)

A very special island in the middle of Lake Maggiore. Nice view from the large balcony on the meer.Nadeel is that if you want to pull out on getting the ferry to take. That is nice in the paper. Parking the car on the mainland a problem.

We have had a fantastic week end of May in that beautiful salmon colored house in the apartment on the second floor: absolutely great. It is a compact apartment suitable for two people, with a nice and airy living room, a simple but well equipped kitchen, good bathroom, nice bedroom, and above all with a fantastic 10 meter long balcony of 2 meters wide . You sat on the southwest side, dashing water around you, a constant drift in and out of boats, many Italian chatter, a really lovely holiday feeling! You can always eat on the island, there are many restaurants. But self cooking was delicious in the small but very complete kitchen. We really had a great holiday and will definitely be back! L & M

Beautiful apartment with omgeving.Mooi largest balcony on the island! What really let it down was the 17.00 u.van restaurantjes.Een the bar open until 19.00u.Daarna all uitgestorven.De boat taxi was doing ridiculous duur.Niet! Rather wait onthe big boot.Helaas the beach was a big mess , broken tiles, tiles, glass and construction debris, also in water.Aan all sides of the eilandje.Geen child friendly eilandje.Hou your sparrows and swallows, eating out of your hand.De owners are incredibly aardig.Niets detriment of Eure Relay but for us a second time to this island.

L’ISOLA SUPERIORE DEI PESCATORI - It owes its name to the activity of its inhabitants and certainly has the most character dor all the Borromeo islands on Lake Maggiore. It is approximately 300 meters of land in the middle of the lake, spectacularly framed by the Alps.
The fascination of this island lies in the traditional simplicity and rustic candour of its houses. In the narrow alleys you will find restaurants, providing local fish from the lake, bars kiosks and small shops.
The Island is connect to Stresa (3 stops) and Baveno (1 stop) by a regular public boat service available until h. 7.00 pm (www.navlaghi.it) or water-taxi. Upon prior request, the kind owner will also organise transfers to and from the island by motor boat.

the Island is a very good cross road for every kind of excursion: to reach the other islands (Bella and Madre), to visit the beautiful villas and gardens along the coast to get to the top of the mountain, also with a cableway to enjoy a marvellous view over the top of the Mottarone Mountain of 7 lakes (Maggiore, Orta, Mergozzo and 4 Lombard lakes) and the majestic Italian and Swiss Alps. Mottarone is equipped for winter sports. The villages surrounding offer traditional and cultural events as well as musical festival well advertised by the local tourist office.
How to get there:
From Milan - Highway A8 Milano -Laghi, then A26 direction Gravellona Toce - Exit Baveno/Stresa
From Switzerland. S.S. 33 (Brig/Simplon Pass/Domodossola) exit Baveno/Stresa or S.S.32 (Bellinzona/Locarno/Baveno)
Park in Baveno, in one of the public parking area. To get to the island you have two different options:
By public boat of the Navigazione Lago Maggiore your destination is Isola Superiore dei Pescatori (time table available on the internet approx from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm) or by private taxi boat.
The owners of the apartment can give you the telephone number of a shipman. With them you can fix time and place for the pick-up to take you directly in front of the apartment.
