The house has four bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy living room with a fireplace – perfect for cool evenings. The bathroom has a shower, and although there are a few steps at the entrance and in the hallway, the accommodation is otherwise easily accessible. The cottage is idyllically located near the sea and offers a large terrace where you can enjoy your morning coffee. And with its own barbecue, it is perfect for long, late summer evenings with good food. You will find a swimming area not far from the cottage where you can take a refreshing dip, and for fishing enthusiasts there are good fishing opportunities as well as a practical gutting area by the cottage. Mackerel fishing at Portør, only 7 km away, is also a popular activity, known for its good fishing and fantastic coastal scenery. For the active, there are plenty of opportunities: a basketball hoop and some weights for those interested in sports and a small playground nearby for the little ones. The area also offers great hiking opportunities. Nearby you will find boat rentals, so you can explore Risør's beautiful archipelago from the sea. If you want a unique experience on the water, you can join a taxi boat trip that takes you to hidden gems and idyllic islands. For a day trip, we recommend taking a trip to Stabbestad, where you can play golf or try the mini golf course - a fun activity for the whole family. And not far away is Kragerø, a charming town with cozy streets, exciting shops and good restaurants. This holiday home is the perfect base for creating great holiday memories. Pleasant holiday home surrounded by a garden with fruit trees and berry bushes. Perfect for a family holiday and a good starting point for excursions and experiences in Southern Norway and Telemark. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with a dining table, bathroom with shower, living room with a double sofa bed and a single bed as well as a desk and flat screen. On the first floor there is a cozy TV room and a bedroom with a double bed and a small single bed for children. In the garden there is a hammock, barbecue, garden furniture and an inflatable hot tub for free use. In the garden room right by the entrance, you get lots of evening sun through the windows. A perfect place to enjoy late summer evenings. 3 km from the cabin, it is possible to rent a boat for exciting boat and fishing trips. Taxi boat can take you to the district's most exciting places, or you can take a trip with the Øysang ferry, Norway's oldest wooden boat ferry, which runs between Risør and Øysang. Risør has cozy streets, restaurants and niche shops, as well as events such as the Chamber Music Festival, the Wild Wine Market and the Tree Boat Festival. The cultural night at the end of April is worth a visit. Visit the saltwater aquarium at Dampskipbrygga in Risør, or take the shuttle boat over to Stangholmen Lighthouse. At Jegertunet holiday center (3 km) there is a summer-open, heated outdoor swimming pool (for a fee), restaurant, kiosk and interior design shop as well as tennis courts, a volleyball court and a nice playground. 'Den lille Dyrehage' at Brokeland Heia is only 22 km away. If you are considering a long weekend of relaxation in the winter outside the major winter destinations, this house can be recommended with cross-country skiing on the illuminated trail at Søndeled (17 km). Vegårshei Ski and Activity Center with an alpine slope is also not far away (35 km). NB! The house has its own well with approved drinking water, but with a lot of iron in the water.
