Risør has cozy streets, restaurants and niche shops, as well as events such as the Chamber Music Festival, the Wild Wine Market and the Tree Boat Festival. The cultural night at the end of April is worth a visit. Visit the saltwater aquarium at Dampskipbrygga in Risør, or take the shuttle boat over to Stangholmen Lighthouse. At Jegertunet holiday center (3 km) there is a summer-open, heated outdoor swimming pool (for a fee), restaurant, kiosk and interior design shop as well as tennis courts, a volleyball court and a nice playground. 'Den lille Dyrehage' at Brokeland Heia is only 22 km away. If you are considering a long weekend of relaxation in the winter outside the major winter destinations, this house can be recommended with cross-country skiing on the illuminated trail at Søndeled (17 km). Vegårshei Ski and Activity Center with an alpine slope is also not far away (35 km). NB! The house has its own well with approved drinking water, but with a lot of iron in the water. Feel free to visit the Staubø Culture Center (7 km) with a gallery, handicrafts outlet, café, culture trail, and kayak rental, or take a day trip to the towns Arendal in the south and Risør in the north. Well-equipped kitchen and gas grill on the terrace. On the ground floor, there are 2 bedrooms with a double bed each. On the first floor, there is 1 bedroom with a double bed and 1 with a single bed and a double bed. There is also a single bed by the stairs between the 2 bedrooms on the first floor. Please note that guests will need to bring their own bed linen.
