The Beistadfjord is a smaller arm of the fjord from the Trondheimsfjord and the fjord is surrounded by mountainous landscapes and small agricultural settlements. Inderøya is known for its beautiful nature with great hiking terrain for the whole family. Good starting point for day trips by car, 27 km to the town of Verdal, with Stiklestad church, built in 1180 on the spot where St. Olav fell in battle. There are good salmon rivers in Verdal and Stjørdal. 115 km to Trondheim with many sights, shops, and restaurants. Parking space by the house. The fjord is rich in fish. Boat for rent: 21-foot with a 150 hp outboard motor, echo sounder, GPS and chart plotter. The boat is moored at the floating jetty in the marina 450 m from the house.
