Great hiking terrain in the area near the cabin and the mountains along the Sognefjord with fantastic views. The owner of the cabin also has a small farm cabin/stable house on the farm on the mountain with the mountain Lihesten in the background, which you can visit (see last photo). A visit to Kaupanger stave church (55 km away), built around the year 1140 and one of Norway's oldest stave churches, is recommended. The "Heibergske". Collections – Sogn folkemuseum" in Kaupanger has a wide selection of buildings and objects collected from a large area. Further inside the Sognefjord is Lærdal, 66 km and a ferry ride away from the holiday house, where you can find preserved wooden buildings in the Swiss style. There is a boat for rent at the holiday house, a 16-foot boat with a 15 HP engine. The boat is moored in the owner's private marina, 30 m away. Life jackets are included in boat hire.
