Very good sea fishing in the strait below the cottage, and here you can fish with a rod from shore. Great hiking areas, an ideal starting point for day trips by car to Sommarøya on the west side of Kvaløya. Here you can walk in the beautiful coastal landscape with idyllic sandy beaches, enjoy the fresh sea air and the midnight sun. From here you can take a car ferry to the island of Senja and invite you to a great round trip by following the main road E6 back. Visit the Polarzoo zoo where animals such as reindeer, wolves, bears and many more can be experienced up close. From Senja you can take a ferry to Andøya, where whale watching is an exciting experience. 25 km to the airport, 30 km to Tromsø city with many shops and restaurants. The city has been the starting point for many polar expeditions to the Arctic Ocean throughout history and in the city's museums you can study photos, history and objects from this time.
