Great holiday home between the summer gems Risør and Gjeving in an idyllic and peaceful area with scattered leisure buildings. Fantastic view of the fjord and open sea. Great opportunities for swimming, boating, exploring the archipelago, and relaxation. Your pet is velcome! The holiday home has enough space for two families. On the ground floor there is a well-equipped kitchen and living room with TV and access to a terrace with garden furniture and barbecue, 3 bedrooms with double beds, a bathroom with steam shower with built-in infrared sauna (lovely after an active winter day) and an additional toilet room. In the loft there is a nice living room with table football and several board games as well as a bedroom with a double bed. Free internet. 4 bicycles and an inflatable rubber raft with paddles available, as well as fishing rods and crab traps. In the immediate vicinity are silky rocks with wonderful opportunities with a fishing rod and several beaches for swimming. Several hiking trails and excursion opportunities, for example to Jettegrytene on Sild or to one of the well-known towns along the coast. As well as having the sea right on the doorstep, there are also great opportunities for hikes in the woods, picking berries and mushrooms according to season. Hiking trail to Hisåsen, a fantastic vantage point towards Risør in the east and Lyngør in the west. Right below the cabin, you will find the Sandnesfjord, where there is a 15-foot boat with 25 hp for rent. If you don't want to drive a boat yourself, call a taxi boat and take a trip to Lyngør, Norway's best-preserved little town, or Stangholmen just outside Risør town with concerts in the summer. At Sørlandet Feriesenter, 2.5 km away, there are several outdoor pools in the summer, a ball pit, a large jumping pillow as well as a mini golf course and a playground. Tennis courts at Hope a little further. We recommend a visit to the saltwater aquarium in Risør or the Maritime Museum in Gjeving (15 km), as well as “The Little Zoo” with tropical rainforest on Brokelandsheia, approx. 33 km away. At Nes Verk (29 km) there is a golf course and Ironworks Museum with tours of the Solberg Mine. In winter, there are several cross-country trails in the area, otherwise you can take a trip to Vegårshei Ski and Activity Center, only 33 km away.

Holiday apartment in a charming old wooden house in the middle of Risør, the white town by the Skagerak. Stay in a grandmother house in the city center with a roof terrace with fantastic 360-degree view of the town and harbour. The holiday apartment has a small kitchen, living room and bathroom on the 1st floor, and three bedrooms and an extra toilet on the 2nd floor. One of the bedrooms is a walk-through room. Steep stairs to the roof terrace. Parking for a fee. Great starting point for experiencing all the events and festivals Risør has to offer, e.g. The wooden boat festival, the chamber music festival, and culture night. Many different shops, cafés, and restaurants as well as a cinema and a saltwater aquarium. Fresh bread and other baked goods can be bought from the bakery in the same street. We recommend at the Lighthouse in the neighborhood with various art exhibitions, and a trip to Urheia and the famous Risørflekken to enjoy the view of the archipelago. Bring swimwear and jump into the water at the beach on Holmen. The Øysang ferry, Norway's oldest wooden boat ferry, also brings cars, or you can enjoy the archipelago from one of the taxi boats. A trip to Jettegrytene outside the city is also recommended. Risør is not only a summer town, but well worth a visit in other seasons as well, e.g. at Christmas time. You might be lucky and experience a white Christmas in a white town! Visit Tvedestrand or one of the other southern towns. For the children, we recommend a trip to 'The Little Zoo’ at Brokelandsheia 22 km away.
