The main house is a log house built in 1990, decorated in a warm cabin style with traditional wooden furniture. In 2022, a modern extension was built with a large bedroom, spacious bathroom, entrance hall and laundry room, all to a high standard. The living room has a cozy atmosphere with a fireplace. Seating for 6 at the dining table. Underfloor heating in the entrance hall, bathroom, laundry room and the large bedroom, which is 25 sqm with a comfortable king-size bed. A smaller bedroom has a family bunk with space for two adults and one child (lower bed 150cm wide), and in addition, there is an annex with a double bed. Extra mattresses for up to two children are available on request. The holiday home is located an hour and 45 minutes’ drive from Tromsø. Shops and restaurants are a short drive away. Sunny and popular area with good fishing opportunities both summer and winter (fishing license required) in nearby lakes like Fjellfroskvannet, Takvatnet and Lille Rostavatn. In summer, the area is green and lush, with a mixture of birch and pine forests. Several marked hiking trails start nearby, with everything from easy to more demanding day trips. At the north end of Fjellfroskvannet is a long sandy beach with a gazebo, a campfire site and the possibility of camping and swimming. In winter, the area offers great skiing and hiking opportunities right from the cabin, including to Hattavarre (Háhttávárri) at 1407 m above sea level. This is a cabin with atmosphere and beautiful views in a sheltered and quiet location on sloping terrain, about 400 meters from the lake, perfect for enjoying the northern lights from the hot tub or terrace.
