During winter, you can ski at the alpine center at Hurdal 6 km away, with slopes for both young and old. Avoid long queues and enjoy yourself on the slopes all day. Great cross-country skiing opportunities right outside the cabin door. Just below the cabin, there is a farm with horses and cows.

You can also rent a canoe and experience the Halden Canal on your own. The Halden Canal offers some routes and charter trips by steamboat during the summer season. On the journey you really get to experience what Norwegian nature has to offer: large lakes, narrow canals, high locks, open meadows, and forests. If you are lucky, you could see both beavers and ospreys. The steamboat Prøven runs scheduled trips on beautiful lake Kornsjøen from kl. 12 every Saturday and Sunday in July.
