Welcome to this delightful holiday home in the south of Småland! The pretty cottage is set in the small village of Kalvshaga and is surrounded by fruit trees and shrubbery. There's a roofed terrace as well as a garden with outdoor furniture and a garden grill. On the bottom floor, there's a small kitchen with all of the necessary amenities, such as an electric cooker. There's also a wood-burning stove in the kitchen. The kitchen, dining room, and entrance hall are all open-plan. The living room features an open fireplace, which you are welcome to use, and there's also free wireless internet access. In the bathroom, you will find a WC and a washbasin. The bathroom can also be accessed from the outside of the house. The shower is in a separate building, 10 metres from the cottage. On the bottom floor, you will also find one bedroom with two beds. The upper floor has low ceilings (190 centimetres). Up here you will find three single beds. In the village, there's a dock where you'll find the boat that is included in the rent. Lake Åsnen is well known for it's excellent fishing possibilities. You can buy a fishing permit from the next-door neighbour. Bird watchers will be happy to know there's a variety of birds in the area, falcons, eagles, and osprey, for instance. Kalvsvik is four kilometres from the cottage and features a lovely bathing spot with bathing docks. You have access to four bicycles so why not take them to the nature reserve in Bjurkärr? Another beautiful place to visit is Huseby bruk, 15 kilometres away, with it's castle and it's ironworks museum. There's also an inn, a café, a nature reserve, and an observation tower. Here in the small beautiful village of Skedshult is this house with a view over open landscapes and small farms and houses all around. Welcoming covered entrance porch. The house is on one level and partly open plan. Two substantial bedrooms, one with a double bed and an extra bed. The other with two single beds. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and dining area. Fresh WC/shower area. From the kitchen there is a partially open part with so-called bar facing the large, pleasant family room. There is plenty of room for everyone with seating, flat-screen TV, DVD and separate fine dining furniture. Perfect for both lovely get-togethers and nice dinners. The family room also has a direct exit to the 49 m² the balcony where about half is covered. Absolutely wonderful place both sunny lazy days and nice warm evenings. The balcony has both sun loungers and outdoor furniture and mini table for the youngest. Partly around the grounds, large, nice lawns for play and games. To one of the area's most beautiful lakes, Vindommen, it is approx. 1.3 km. Feel free to try your luck fishing, the lake has recognized good fishing for perch, pike and zander. Weekly fishing licenses are bought in the resort. Right next to it is the small family beach with a shallow sandy beach, jetties and bathing ladder. The cottage is located with a beautiful view of open fields, meadows and the large forest just outside. In the right season, plenty of both mushrooms and berries. With a bit of luck you see moose, deer, foxes and hares, especially early in the morning. Out it is about 20 km to the coast. Many possibilities for renting a boat, paddling canoe or just swim and roam. Fishing is free in the entire Baltic Sea. As day trips there is a lot to do. Definitely worth a visit the coastal towns of Västervik, Valdemarsvik or Söderköping. All very much picturesque and with many events during the summer. To get to the far end of the sea band with all the islands, you can follow along mail boats that make longer and shorter trips. To the bigger cities Norrköping and Linköping take about 1.5 hours by car and there are big ones here shopping centers and lots to see. A must for the slightly younger ones is perhaps a visit to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby or Kolmården's Zoo and both places take about 1.5 hours by car. There are four fixed beds and an extra bed that is provided for parties of 5 people. In case of rain or cooler weather, or if you simply want some shade, you can sit in the beautiful gazebo. The plot is shared with a family member of the owners, but here there has been a change of place. The owners recommend the swimming area at little Bjälkerum, where you have a beautiful view of the sunset. A visit to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby is usually popular with children. You can also visit Astrid Lindgren's childhood home Näs, Emil's Katthult and Bullerbyn. In Mariannelund is the film village where filming environments from classic films by Astrid Lindgren can be experienced. In the moose park in Skullaryd, you can go on a tractor safari, experience and feed moose and deer in their natural environment. Eksjö with Sweden's best preserved wooden town is well worth a visit.
