This holiday home is a property on the fantastic Gudhammars estate which dates back to the 17th century and is located on a promontory with views in every direction; the property lies right outside Hova. This is a perfect holiday home for the larger family/ company with high demands on location and standard. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature during all the seasons, and during the summer you can bathe and fish in the lake of Skagern, and not least, you can enjoy the holiday home with all its facilities like the whirlpool or the wood burning bath barrel. The holiday home is built the year 1778 and is called “Flygen” and means “the wing”, and has been carefully renovated with all amenities and with tasteful furnishings. Still many of the old details have been preserved, adding to the charm of this holiday home. On the entry level you will find the bright kitchen area with its own exit to the generously sized patio, with sunlight from morning to evening. Here you can admire the wonderful view of the lake over a good meal. If the weather is too cold you can take your meal to the beautiful dining area which is connected to the kitchen, or you can go the ground floor where you will find an inviting living room with a wood burning stove. The living room is equipped with both a TV and a comfortable sofaset. On the same level there is also a bedroom with two single beds and a beautiful fully tiled bathroom with a whirlpool tub and shower. Upstairs is an additional living room with a sofa bed and TV, perfect for the children and the youngsters in the company. On the same level there is a bathroom with shower and four bedrooms. Two of them are sturdy bedrooms with wide double beds in each room; one of them even has a wood burning stove. The other two bedrooms are smaller and where one is equipped with one single bed and the other with a 120cm wide double bed. The holiday home is situated on a park like ground, where you dispose a private part of the lawn stretching towards the lake. There you will find a nice little shallow beach and a small bridge where a boat is docked, which you can rent and go on wonderful trips filled with fishing and bathing. Fishing is free of charge in the part of the lake which belongs to the owner. Of course you must take the opportunity to take a dip in the relaxing bath barrel, where you can sit and enjoy the starry nights. The bath barrel is shared with the three other cabins on the property, and costs 1500 SEK/occasion including wood for heating. (see house 40719, 38743 and 38744). It's possible to rent it between May to October, the season depends on the weather. Here you will live beautifully and close to many excursions sites in lovely surroundings, and the delightfully rustic feeling increases with all animals on the estate. You can visit the knight week in Hova (always week 28) which is always fun and exciting where you can experience the tourney and the medieval market. Feel free to take a trip with one of the passenger boat next to “Göta kanal” which is the biggest canal in Sweden and discover all the locks and sights that the journey offers. If you want to shop you will do that advantageously by going to the old charming districts of Mariestad. For larger companies there are three additional holiday homes on this estate (look at 38743, 38744 and 40719). Welcome to a tastefully renovated house dating back to the past in a setting where you can completely relax and enjoy beautiful nature, fishing, hiking, fishing trips, canoeing and much more. In 2014, the croft was completely renovated to a modern, inviting and comfortable standard of high quality. Fresh surfaces with a nice touch old days inserted into the whole. On the ground floor there is a large, lovely country kitchen that both symbolizes the modern, fresh and that old Småland. The dining area is comfortable and from this you can sit and look out over the road to the surroundings of the house. Adjacent there is also a dining room for setting up a nice dinner together, just as you did in Småland in the past when you had nice visitors. Down here there are also 2 living rooms, one with a comfortable seating area where you can sit down and watch TV or take a midday nap and the other with comfortable chairs where you can sit down with a glass of wine or a cup of tea and a good book in hand or with relaxing music in your ears. On the ground floor there is also a toilet with sink, as well as a sauna and a separate shower. Upstairs are the two bedrooms. One has a nice, big one double bed and in the second there are 4 good single beds placed. In the hall between the two bedrooms is there also a day bed if someone in the party feels like recuperating a bit in the middle of the day. About 2 km away is a fantastically beautiful lake and a very well-arranged small swimming area with both a sandy beach and jetty. In the forests around your house, there are plenty of mushrooms and berries. In addition, you have a very good chance of encountering the forest's king, the moose. Short excursions can, for example, take you to the alpine hill Isaberg (40 km), which is also worth visiting in summer. Longer day trips can take you to the big cities of Gothenburg, Borås and Jönköping as well as to Astrid Lindgren's World on the east coast. Welcome to this cosy holiday home, surrounded by woodlands and set close to a beautiful lake! The house is located outside of Borås, not far from Göteborg, Sweden's second largest city. The cottage is set on an elevated garden plot with several lovely outdoor sitting areas. The cottage is well-kept and has an open-plan kitchen with a dining table and the necessary kitchen amenities. In the living room, there's a sofa bed, a wood-burning stove and a TV. The bedroom is equipped with two beds and the bathroom features a WC, a washbasin, and a shower cubicle. Outside, there's a comfortable, furnished terrace from which you have a delightful view of the surroundings. Lake Hälasjön is within walking distance, only 150 metres away. The area offers a number of gorgeous walking paths. The town of Borås is only 7 kilometres from the cottage. In Borås you can visit the zoo and the shopping mall Knalleland. Borås was once Sweden's largest producer of textiles and fashion wear. If you are interested in textiles and fashion, you will enjoy the textile museum. The big city of Göteborg is 64 kilometres away, a distance that takes about an hour to drive. Göteborg offers shopping and entertainment, as well as the big amusement park Liseberg, and the museum Universeum. If you enjoy bargain shopping, the town of Ullared is also within driving distance. Ullared is famous for it's shopping centre Gekå's. People travel from all over the country to shop there. In fact Gekå's is so famous it even has it's own reality TV-show! In the heart of Södersocknen in Istorp, Marks municipality, lies this classic red cottage with white knots, surrounded by lush greenery, birdsong and proximity to the beautiful lake Fävren (or Fevren, as it is also called). Lake Fävren is a real gem that stretches across both Västra Götaland and Halland. Here you can enjoy a rich birdlife, over 185 bird species have been observed from the popular bird tower at the northern part of the lake, and those who love fishing can look forward to pike, perch, zander, roach, bream and tench. Here you live on the same plot as the home owner in a charming part of 30 m² with a sleeping loft and a shed where two of the beds are located. You have access to a spacious and privacy-protected balcony in a north-west position, with a view towards the sea. The balcony is furnished with outdoor furniture for six people and several sun loungers, perfect for summer evenings. Directly inside the door on the left side is a bedroom with a double bed and on the right side a bathroom with shower, wc, sink and washing machine. At Brännö Värdshus you can eat well and there is also a rustic and homely restaurant in the harbour. Via a narrow land connection, it is possible to walk over to the nature reserve on Galterö. The island is car-free and peaceful, but with frequent ferry connections, it is easy to get to the entertainment city of Gothenburg. Park the car at Långedrag, there are also charging posts for electric cars. From Långedrag it is convenient to take the tram to Saltholmen (1km) for the ferry to the island.
