This holiday home is a property on the fantastic Gudhammars estate which dates back to the 17th century and is located on a promontory with views in every direction; the property lies right outside Hova. This is a perfect holiday home for the larger family/ company with high demands on location and standard. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature during all the seasons, and during the summer you can bathe and fish in the lake of Skagern, and not least, you can enjoy the holiday home with all its facilities like the whirlpool or the wood burning bath barrel. The holiday home is built the year 1778 and is called “Flygen” and means “the wing”, and has been carefully renovated with all amenities and with tasteful furnishings. Still many of the old details have been preserved, adding to the charm of this holiday home. On the entry level you will find the bright kitchen area with its own exit to the generously sized patio, with sunlight from morning to evening. Here you can admire the wonderful view of the lake over a good meal. If the weather is too cold you can take your meal to the beautiful dining area which is connected to the kitchen, or you can go the ground floor where you will find an inviting living room with a wood burning stove. The living room is equipped with both a TV and a comfortable sofaset. On the same level there is also a bedroom with two single beds and a beautiful fully tiled bathroom with a whirlpool tub and shower. Upstairs is an additional living room with a sofa bed and TV, perfect for the children and the youngsters in the company. On the same level there is a bathroom with shower and four bedrooms. Two of them are sturdy bedrooms with wide double beds in each room; one of them even has a wood burning stove. The other two bedrooms are smaller and where one is equipped with one single bed and the other with a 120cm wide double bed. The holiday home is situated on a park like ground, where you dispose a private part of the lawn stretching towards the lake. There you will find a nice little shallow beach and a small bridge where a boat is docked, which you can rent and go on wonderful trips filled with fishing and bathing. Fishing is free of charge in the part of the lake which belongs to the owner. Of course you must take the opportunity to take a dip in the relaxing bath barrel, where you can sit and enjoy the starry nights. The bath barrel is shared with the three other cabins on the property, and costs 1500 SEK/occasion including wood for heating. (see house 40719, 38743 and 38744). It's possible to rent it between May to October, the season depends on the weather. Here you will live beautifully and close to many excursions sites in lovely surroundings, and the delightfully rustic feeling increases with all animals on the estate. You can visit the knight week in Hova (always week 28) which is always fun and exciting where you can experience the tourney and the medieval market. Feel free to take a trip with one of the passenger boat next to “Göta kanal” which is the biggest canal in Sweden and discover all the locks and sights that the journey offers. If you want to shop you will do that advantageously by going to the old charming districts of Mariestad. This delightful holiday home is located by Hunneberg on Vargön. It is a cottage set next to one of Sweden's most well-maintained rectories. Carl Von Linné stayed there in 1746. The scenic environment is perfect for long walks or bicycle rides. It was carefully renovated in 2015. Care has been taken to keep the old look and atmosphere. Bicycles can be rented for 100 sek per week and bicycle. There are four available. The holiday home features four bedrooms, two on the bottom floor and two on the upper floor. A total of eight beds are available. Each floor has a bathroom with a shower and a WC The entrance of the house is through the veranda. The interior of the house is tastefully decorated and bright. The kitchen features an electric cooker as well as a wood burning stove. There is also a lodge next door, suitable for dinner parties. Hunneberg has a unique flora and fauna, and is also known for it's elks.There are walking paths, bicycle routes and fishing opportunities. Don't forget to buy a fishing permit! It's a short one-hour drive to Gothenburg, with it's populat funfair Liseberg. Another destination for a daytrip is Skara with it's outdoor waterpark Skara Sommarland. The possibilities are endless! Here you live within a bathrobe's distance of the beautiful coastline, with both a jetty, slide and bathing ladder for a morning dip. It is a strategic location for exploring the surrounding nature. Welcome to this charming cottage located by the beautiful Frisjön in Aplared, Borås municipality. The cottage is surrounded by a lush garden and offers a fantastic lake view. When you step in, you are greeted by a small hall where you immediately feel welcome. To the left of the hall you will find the white and fresh kitchen, which is fully equipped with stove, oven, fridge, freezer, coffee maker and microwave. There is also a small kitchen table with chairs where you can sit and enjoy the view of the grounds and the lake. To the right of the hall is a large dining room table and chairs, where you can enjoy your meals while looking out over the beautiful garden and lake. In the spacious living room, you can relax in front of the TV and enjoy the warmth of the crackling wood stove, perfect for slightly cooler summer evenings. The bathroom is newly renovated and has both a toilet and a shower. The bedroom is bright and furnished with two single beds, each 90 cm wide, for a good night's sleep. Outside the cottage you can enjoy the large terrace, where there is a barbecue and garden furniture for pleasant outdoor meals. With a distance of only 800 meters you reach the beautiful bathing area, complete with bathing jetty, sandy beach and playground for the younger children. There is plenty of space here for play and relaxation. For hiking enthusiasts, there are several hiking trails in the area with historical sights. Aplared is a perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts and hikers of all levels. If you are interested in fishing, you can try your luck at fishing (fishing license required). For a shopping trip to Borås, it only takes 15 minutes by car. In Borås, you can find good deals both in the city center and at the shopping center "Knalleland". Also, don't miss a visit to Borås Zoo, a well-kept zoo on the outskirts of the city. Bring sausages and bread to use the free electric grills in the park. Borås also has a large selection of good restaurants. Take the opportunity to eat a lunch buffet at one of the many Asian restaurants in the city, where you can enjoy good food at reasonable prices. The larger city of Gothenburg, with attractions such as the Avenyn parade street, the Liseberg amusement park and the interesting Universeum, is less than an hour's drive away. If you are interested in shopping, you can also quickly get to Ullared and Gekås, which are just over an hour's drive away. During hot and dry summers, be sparing with water. Brännö is a living archipelago island in the southern part of Gothenburg's archipelago with approximately 900 permanent residents. The island differs from the other islands in the archipelago thanks to the agriculture, piloting history, customs and shipping that have been the main source of livelihood. Song composer Lasse Dahlqvist has made the island famous through his songs. If you want to experience the classical dance at Brännö pier, walk to Husvik on the southwest side in approx. 20 minutes. From the mountain at the old pilot's lookout, at the island's highest point, you have a view from Vinga to the entrance to Gothenburg. The small houses and the narrow roads give the island a charming impression. The island is car-free, but there are taxis that you can order to transport you and your luggage smoothly to your cabin. Otherwise, there are carts that you can borrow to transport your luggage. 3 bikes are available to borrow and more are available for rent on the island. Also take the opportunity to borrow the boat, which is available for loan, as well as 2 sea kayaks for wonderful paddle trips. The island has everything you need! Shop with post office, restaurant, bakery, cafe and church. There are also plenty of bathing spots. The closest is Pannevik where you can eat well at På Brännö Värdshus and there is also a rustic and homely restaurant in the harbour. Via a narrow land connection, it is possible to walk over to fantastic Galterö. Here there is a rich birdlife and a lovely nature. If you want to learn more about Brännö's history, you shouldn't miss the small charming local museum in the middle of the island. The cottage was newly renovated in 2023 and has a fresh and bright interior in Nordic country style that gives you a relaxing atmosphere and very welcoming. You enter a small hall with a bathroom just to the right. To the left, the living room and kitchen open up, which is integrated into one. Straight ahead from the hall is a steep ladder up to the house's first loft with sleeping space for 2 people. Next to the kitchen - with its own exit to the jetty and the balcony - is the house's second bedroom with a 160 cm bed. From the kitchen area there is a staircase/ladder to the house's second loft with two more beds. Both stairs are somewhat steep, so be careful if you have children or find it difficult to get up and down. The living room has a seating area with dining area and TV corner. A warm welcome to a cabin for those of you who want peace, proximity to the lake, forest and swimming. The house includes a small oak tree for fishing and swimming. This accommodation provides a nice relaxation with the cabin, which is close to nature without disturbing traffic, where you can go directly into the forest to perhaps see moose, deer, fish and swim. The cottage is close to both Alingsås and Borås, just over 1 hour to Gothenburg by car if you want to discover Liseberg or wander on the Avenyn. The house is at the end of the road, where no one but you comes. Next to the house there are two nice lakes where you can fish for perch, roach and pike. In the yard there is a nice barbecue area for cozy evenings during starry evenings. If you are a good group that wants to get away, this accommodation is recommended for you or for the family that wants to have a good time. The house is older with a mixed interior and the ceiling height is slightly lower, about 195 cm. You enter a small hall with the kitchen directly to the left. The kitchen is from the Swedish 70s with stove, oven, fridge/freezer and most of what you might need. There is a dining area in the living room around a large bridge. There is also a large sofa group with a stove that likes to crackle well. Adjacent is the house's one bedroom with 2 single beds. The stairs up lead you to the house's second bedroom with two bunk beds with a total of 4 beds. Up here is also the house's toilet with sink and shower. In the surrounding area there are plenty of lakes and beautiful nature trails. Pay a visit to Alingsås where Jonas Alströmer became famous for teaching the Swedes to eat potatoes as early as the beginning of the 18th century or pay a visit to Borås which is a mecca for textiles and Borås Zoo for the little ones.
