What have we enjoyed there! A great region, very nice, sweet and hospitable people! At 1 week you do not have enough there is so much to see there.

Lovely house on the grounds of the farm owners.Simpel, but everything is present. Have fun with all the animals at home. The landlords are extremely hospitable and are great with the kids!

Wonderful base to visit Florence, Pisa and Lucca. Very hospitable host who does everything to make it to your liking. Beautiful rural view. House is spacious, clean, tastefully Tuscan furnished and fully equipped. Especially with small children recommended, due to the different animals and play equipment.

For the 2nd time at Rita and Gina stayed, again very much enjoyed. The peace, the animals and the environment is great. Rita and Gina are very hospitable, the fresh tomato sauce was very special. Our son has been busy with the cats and the dogs. We would have liked to stay much longer.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival with coffee and cake by the owner. What a lovely people! The house is very beautiful. From the house you can go in different directions. Many sights within an hour's drive.

Excellent accommodation from airport in Pisa. Just disable the option "unpaved paths" on the navigation, otherwise you get the shortest way through impassable path through the hills. Prior to arrival had contact with landlords regarding arrival time. Nice, spacious holiday home on a farmyard with many animals. Outdoor toys for small children are present, large lawns for football, etc. The yard is fenced. Very friendly landlady, always willing to explain something or to help with practical matters. Staffoli is a village conveniently located to discover both the north (Lucca, Pistoia etc) and the famous attractions more in the middle of Tuscany. Village Staffoli & 2 km from the house via nice walk or quickly reachable by car you will find a small supermarket, bakers, butcher, fishmonger, tasty takeaway pizza and Italian ice cream. Nature reserve for walking / cycling in the area and pilgrim route (via Francigena).

The environment is beautiful and fun for children by all the animals that walk around. We were received very hospitable despite being too early. The house was clean and cozy. There was no TV but we did not miss it. Owner was very hospitable but unfortunately spoke little English and we do not speak Italian. Our son of 2.5 years has had the time of his life there ..

Very kindly received. The accommodation was beautiful and rustic. The area seemed quiet but it wasn't. A dog kennel right across the door and children's holiday camp during the weekdays for around 40 children. If you are out and about all day, that is no problem. The location is excellent for planning trips and visiting cities.

Tip from the houseowner

The typical regional cuisine is the absolute protagonist of Porto alle Lenze farm stay. In fact, the property boasts of a shop with typical local products, among which wine and olive oil, as well as vegetable sauces and honey, definitely stand out. We also have a menu with traditional and family recipes, using ingredients and produce from local or surrounding farms. The Via Francigena, or Via Romea, is the pilgrimage route connecting Canterbury with Rome, used by thousands of pilgrims in the Middle Ages. It is still possible to admire some parts of this ancient trail which traverses our farm stay.
