The convento is very quiet. You reach the house via a narrow steep road. We were received very warmly and were offered (because it was quiet) a larger apartment. The concerto is nicely decorated. The pool was just open even though it was outside the specified dates. Umbertide is a 20-minute drive away, where there is a shopping center and restaurants. We received tips regarding restaurants that we indeed used and were delicious. You cannot just dine in the concerto, there must be enough guests for that. The chef must come from further afield, so food is only by prior arrangement. It is very beautiful, and surrounded by various beautiful cities.

The reception help was very friendly and offered instantly a free upgrade for our family. Beautiful landscape and lots of nice outer space are the best things about this place, although the water source contains sulfur (zwavel) that smells.

This old monastery is a perfect base in the heart of Italy. Perfect price / quality ratio. We have now been in many places in similar cottages but this is now top of our list. Beautifully restored old monastery containing six apartments. We were in a fairly small apartment on the ground floor of a courtyard. The establishment of this basic but tidy and cozy. The hostess was very gracious and welcoming and speaks good english. Owner Roberto was on vacation and was himself. He has ensured that we lacked nothing (limoncello was delicious -)). The (real) barbecue in the garden in the evening sun, combined with the magnificent view, was an unforgettable experience.

Arrival neatly arranged. In advance received informative e-mail from hostess with, among other things, route information. Accommodation beautiful. We also received an update because we were the only guests. Environment is beautiful. Very relaxing. Accommodation not suitable if you have mobility problems.

The monastery was hard to find at first. This would be very easy to fix with a little directions. There are two tunnels. The first is almost invisible, thereby go through the second. You going through the second tunnel you could not help or similar signs against.

In the first instance, very difficult to find. Because the sites have no address there, or no address found in tom tom or garmin is. But if you have the proper coordinates through the appropriate grid you know blindly find your way. You will be received by a genuinely very friendly hostess. Once Once settled into your apartment, decreases as the rest of you down. what a location, just super. No stress a nice view, and yet with all the luxury. After a day of touring by motorcycle, clothes out on the terrace and then splash in the zwembad.Uit food is more tedious the nearest restaurants are about 15 km away. so if you both want a drink, no aanrader.Mijn woman working in the daily life in a monastery and found this nice to get a suitable place. unwind

Beautiful house in a beautiful and peaceful garden with several seating areas in the sun or in the shade. The view is breathtaking. Furthermore, the service and the caretaker gastvrijhheid Nicoletta one that can not do much more to come.

"Abbazia di Monte Corona" Umbertide is a beautiful abbey with a bell tower, a church and a crypt. The atmosphere at this place is beautiful beyond description. It is special because of its simplicity. Definitely worth a visit. Horse riding Umbria between Monte Tezio e Monte Acuto with an English speaking guide. (Www.centrodiequitazionemarana.it) Umbertide is a pleasant town and a great base for visiting places in the area. In terms of beauty does not inferior to Tuscany. You'll find the real Italy! Umbertide is surrounded by beautiful olive groves and tobacco plantations and is located on the river Tevere.
